The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

Good to have you aboard. I'm sure you will enjoy our love for the pulse rifle. Quite a few 'hero' builds on the go right now.

And good to have another games industry veteran on board :D

You'll need to be careful at UK cons; Abe the Alien has a history of being a touch too friendly with furries!

I draw the line at a "furry" marine.

No offense.

Welcome to the board. Now get some armour or a flak vest. 8)

Spat is the Man for a nice affordable PR. The New Spulse Mk III is a nice kit easy to assemble and will take a con beating.

Unless you want the airsoft version or one that is super accurate I would go with Spat.

Before October last year, it would have been easy. Now with the VCR bill, things are a lot more complicated when it comes to getting a replica imitation firearm.

Best course is to be a registered airsoft skirmisher, which does provide exemption to owning a RIF, then you can go with a Spulse, airsoft conversion or a couple of other options.

Perhaps my welcome post came off a wee bit too strong.

You're welcome to discuss anything you please (so long as it isn't the usual "hot" topics- sex, politics, religion) in the Off Topic forum.

I just envisioned someone showing up at D-Con in a furry costume with armour over top. At which time I'll kill myself.

Please take the time to read the posting rules on The Ready Line. Especially the part about no links live auctions; most of the newer people make that mistake.

Once again welcome to the Colonial Marine Corps! :D
