The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

Hi Rook! Yeah, I was pleasantly surprised to see all the Brits here. Glad to see we're finally catching up with our trans-Atlantic friends. ;)

Looks like Portsmouth has it's own fire team. Before we know it we'll have our own section. Just so long as we don't have to get Pompey dots. ;)

I think it would be awesome to base the new FPS game around a stunningly handsome EUB with a sniper rifle.

Welcome to the Madhouse!

Hello everybody! I'm new here, my name is Marie, from Montreal.

I saw some of you at D*C 2006 (I was the freak who dragged her sewing machine all the way from Canada in Dom's room!) and now that I've seen Aliens and got the armor, I should be joining you for the sweep at Dragon*con this year! :D

Hi,

I use to post on all of the ezboards. About 3 years ago I had to sell my Pred and Alien stuff. I am now back to collecting. I have most of the bios purchased again. I am waiting on a PR kit and have a HGR head in the mail. Look forward to sharing things.

Thanks!

Greg

Hey, I saw some of you guys at Dragon*Con last year. I first saw Aliens when I was 4, causing me to develop a life long love of the series as well as a constant fear that a Queen Alien would tear me in half or some incident with a face hugger.

I'm hoping to get together some Colonial Marine gear within the next few months and have it ready by Dragon*Con 08.

I reckon I can stop lurking and maybe say hello. I registered this morning, but have been reading for a few months now.

I am a huge geek from the Dallas, Tx area. 37 years of age and father to 3. My oldest boy, 11, is getting very deep into sculpting, so I am going to have to make sure to foster that. I used to work as a set dresser and Prop Assistant in the movie/commercial industry in Dallas. I was fortunate enough to work on the Wishbone show for the last half of the last season and loved every minute of it.

The USCM has been a favorite of mine for years. We modified the old Recon rules from Palladium to play USCM scenarios.

I plan on using my boys interest in modeling/sculpting to further my own selfish sci-fi needs, since my wife absolutely hates most things geek. So shhh. Don't tell her.

I plan on exposing my boys to their first con next month at All-con 08. They have never been to one, but I have very fond memories of the Dallas Fantasy Faire.

The real question is how do you hide a $600 armor purchase from your wife?

Welcome to both of you!

What's the story Wishbone... God I loved that show.

If more men knew how to hide a $600 purchase from their wives, then Spat would be a rich SOB.

That dog was one of the best bosses I ever had. If you have a choice between a human manager and a Jack Russell terrier, pick the terrier.

Some of you already know me from the RPF. My name is Dana and I'm a very big Alien fan (limited mostly to Alien and Aliens). I'm also a huge Terminator fan as you can see from my avatar.

This year I decided I finally want to take on a Pulse Rifle build. So I'm joining the ranks to learn from the best. I'm sure I'll start a post about my build in the Airsoft Arena, so more on that later.

I've been building props for a long time now. I am a professional sculptor and painter. I currently work in the video game industry. For years I was a 3D Artist/Designer But over the years I've moved up to become a Game Director. So now I need to keep my skills sharp with my hobbies.

I like the community you have all created here. I've already been impressed with my interactions with several of your members. I hope to eventually be as much of a help to the group as you have been to me.
