The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

I wonder if you can redo the levels (once completed) and then still get the cheevo? That might be an option if I feel like it. :)
You can.
Not notice that once you find a diary/cannister/trophy it's no longer there any time you lose a life and go back through?

I did spot that when I'd died and restarted, but haven't tried a level after completion yet. :)

I wish i'd known that. I restarted it after the first time, And chased him down, let his friend call security.

I might just be the only really slow one here, but had anyone noticed that William Hope has a voice credit on this game as Dr Groves (the guy in the Alien intro)?

The marines were hitting me pretty square on in predator mode uncloaked but if I cloaked right away it turned into a spray and pray. Long range with the disk worked for me for the marines and combat andies but the spear seemed lame it alway seemed to come up short was I using it wrong maybe?

Also wondering about the combat andies: would that be what the troopers were at the end of alien 3? They look the same.

Weird, cos I died more as the Marine than I have the Predator or Alien. :)

I liked the gameplay of Batman Arkham Asylum, which is how the Pred plays, so that may have helped.

There's a guy who blows himself up with a grenade when you break into the room, killing you if you're too close.

I'm finding it very hard to bring myself to play the game now that I've past the colony. I'm sure one day I will be bored enough to pick it up again but not anytime soon. I've given up on online play. I just don't enjoy it at all.

I just picked this up cheap from shopto.net for around £22 I think, it's not even out of it's wrapper but I'm looking forward to giving it a blast. Sadly I've spent the last week decorating (and still have a couple of weeks work left to do) so for the time being it's going to have to stay in the wrapper. My xbox is sitting in a box while work continues but I cant tell you how much I want it done now!

I'm hoping there will be some more news on the "Colonial Marines" game from Gearbox out of E3. Word is now they are finished with Borderlands they would get back to it, but then I read recently that Borderlands was far more popular than they expected and they would keep making content for it as long as people keep buying it. *sigh*

I've not played it yet (can't afford it until after I move), but I -have- heard all the music to it.. Does anyone else have a mental image of a room full of Bugs waving glowsticks to the music (song's titled "Club Hive". I believe) playing in the nightclub?

Ironically, that isn't far from what actually happens in the game when that track is played. :D

I like just watching the virtual club dancer before all hell braks loose. I must have stood there for 10 minutes watching that.
I wonder if she'll be in the new Tron Movie...

Tip: Keep moving and there's ammo and extra grenades around that upper level area.

Edit: There is on the easy difficulty level (that I played it on) anyway, and I got through it alive on first play. 8)

I've gotten into playing this game again recently, does anyone fancy a blast on the 360?

after mastering block, bash, and blast; the marine is a lot more deadly (as long as your enemies are coming at you head on  )

Sorry, didn't wanna spoil it too much. By 'upstairs' I meant the level you're on when the music starts.

There's grenades at the back to your right as you exit the elevator, can't recall where any other ammo is, but just a refill of those should see you through. :)

If not, then I suggest you play the single player Survivor to practice aiming at their heads. 8)

I could see around the level okay, so maybe adjust the brightness on the game/TV?

I'm guessing the game designers want you to shoot while moving backwards at this stage, right ? That's what I'm doing but still death-ing when my ammo. is gone. I did find the spare ammo & nades (unless there's more than 1 each). I guess I have to go for head shots, but damn it the game is too dark. Can't see anything.
