The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

I said this over on the RPF and I'll say it again. We now need busts of Kane, Lambert, Dallas and most of all, Ripley, to go with this.

That Dcon display along with a bust, would be so very kick ass.

Thanks guys.

I sure wish I could have made DC. It has been to long since I have seen some of you all. And I want to meet some more of the group.

Richie said he had a blast. The pictures and stories I have read sound like is was an awesome time. You all looked great!

Next year... I'll be there for sure.

Steve

Richie and Steve it's hard for me to find the words to describe how impressed I am with this. Richie you saw my wide eyes and even wider smile at Dragon*Con though! :)

Here is the latest.
I have the outside of the helmet complted.
I added the black trim around the face plate. Added some minor details.
Boxes around the back lower lights.

I completed the neck ring and added the padding. There will be snaps on the neck ring but I am going to have to pull it back appart to mold the final part.
A lot of these details I added will come back off for molding and will be add-ons to keep thier crisp details.

next to attack the interior.

Here you go.....

Outstanding job you did there!
How do you manage to get the time for all of this?

Oh, I just noticed something - the blue and the white square at the bottom rear of the helmet look like Saia-Burgess switches. Are these about 18x24mm including the black frame / 14x20mm without the frame?
If so look for part-no. 511000 for the switch and part-no. 460312 and 460012 for the blue and white cap.
The red part in the middle could be just the red cap (part-no. 460412)

Update:
I just had a look at some other pictures and I'm now 100% sure these are Saia-Burgess switches. However, in some pictures it looks like they used the translucent caps. The part no. of these start with 461 instead.
The four squres at the top rear of the helmet are translucent end caps from the same series but the square model. Sorry, I don't have the part-no. at hand.

Cheers,
Stefan
