it fits great in the viewer although it will need some work to mask off the non-screen areas

here it is in the viewer. There is also a 2.4" one that will also probably fit since it doesn't have the backing pcb.

I am working on a raspberry pi version of the tracker software that will include sound and a digital compass movement feature. If and when I get it finished I will gladly share. in the mean time here is my progress pic. There are significant issues to iron out before I can put it out there but I will if I can.

I think this is the route to go. Instead of a ready kit all can get the hardware and share the programs to get it going.

Yes, the parts are all pretty inexpensive. I just need to get the software in shape. I have a pretty decent version working on my raspberry pi but the performance isn't good enough. I'm working on a solution that requires a partial re-write so with any luck this will do the job. I'll keep you informed good or bad.
