what is it?

This is my tide-me-over PR until I put my Wakal kit (with steel upgrades) together. Apart from the pump handle, this is one piece of solid resin. I do not know the maker. There is an extra greeblie on the left side at the rear of the shroud--a "tell"?

It came as part of a package when I got my armor. I did a little filling and cleanup but it needs a lot more work than I had time or patience for, knowing I'd be replacing it anyway. But I did put a little effort into repainting it.

Satin black for grip, pump handle and plate at front of barrels, gunmetal for Thompson reciever and barrel, semi-flat for spas cage and stock, BBQ black for the barrel ventilation grill, gloss black for the non-functional remaining rounds indicator. Bess Brown via color-matched latex paint, brush painted over sprayed-on OD.

I decided not to weather it, at least until not after Megacon next weekend. I want to see what convention usage does to it. It has layers of silver and various shades of black beneath the topcoats, so I hope it'll get more interesting as it gets knocked about. Already has in a couple of spots.

Kind of a rush job but I learned some stuff for when I build my kit. Next time I think I'll have even more contrast between the black parts, as the difference isn't showing up well in photographs. Maybe straight out flat black for the cage.

Mine is a wakal kit built by PMander.
It was supposed to be a prototype style weapon in the SEED movie.
Not sure if I made the final cut.
It has been wired to fire off a charge through both the barrel and grenade launcher.
Instead of a counter there is a Weyland Yutani logo. Can't really see it because of the flash.
