The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

No, that's not true as I paid the last payment this spring and asked for a total INCLUDING shipping
for the last payment I still owed, and then took care of it. The installment payments were like $150
each, and my final was like $185-$190 or so.

It's all good as I explained the situation and they figured out where things got messed up apparently,
as I received a rifle today. :)

As I said, I recieved mine today as well... but they sent me the wrong one.

I ordered a Bess Brown version and recieved an OD Green one instead.

I have #30/250 what numbers have everyone else recieved?

Should I keep the OD, or try and exchange it for a BB?

Russ

Like Russ I got an email stating HCG couldn't process the last payment do to issues with my card... which had to be replaced a couple of months ago. I was on vacation when I got the email, so I called yesterday and sorted it out... My PR is on it's way and should arrive in the next few days. ...Can't wait!

Still... It would have been nice if I could have received some info about this when I was trying to contact them regarding the ETA.

I'm curious - are there any discrepancies between the replica and the screen-used version?

Russ, if I end up getting the Brown Bess by mistake, I will absolutely trade with you. I'm one of those nutcases who likes (and ordered) the OD.

Hopefully I'll be getting mine today.

#26 for me.....

Anyone taken theirs out of the box yet? I'm afraid mine has the dreaded slope......Sigh....

The GL looks like it sits at a slight downward angle. Hoping I was seeing things, I even called my wife down to take a look, and she spotted it right away. Anyone else seeing this w/ theirs?

I would love to see some pics of the OD version. And is the issue number on the rifle itself, or only on the box?

Why for you get green one?! :|

Nah I'm just kidding- it looks great of course (even though it's the wrong colour  ).

Tony does your's suffer from the "barrel droop" some people are talking about?

You guys just don't know how jealous I am right now! Having to look at this thread here and on the RPF.

I'm just waiting to hear if any Canadians have ordered one and it has gotten through to them. I've been burned by Customs (both by Canada and the US) so I'm totally freaking paranoid to order one myself. :(

Droopage....yes.
Image

Look at how the SPAS assembly is angled down from the shroud......this appears to be a big problem with many of the guns.
The barrel itself doesn't seem that bad....but the SPAS is WAY droopy :(
The photo seems to make it look worse than when you're looking at it face on....so I don't know which to believe.....my eyes or the photo.

Don't get me wrong, tis' a thing of beauty....but the SPAS assembly has problems.

This is what I'm seeing on mine as well.

Sooooo...the question is.....does one keep it as is? Seems like this is an issue w/ the majority of the PRs.

With the amount of people...I'll say 'complaining' about this......I'm hoping HCG addresses it.
I'm not sure if it really bugs me that much or not.....it will afterall just be a display piece!!

For the hard-earned money that went into it, I'd complain about the "droopage." But what would HCG do about it?

As Harry says here:

viewtopic.php?p=122193#p122193

if the barrel's level with the receiver that's fine, but if not, then I think they have a problem.

Using Tony's pic as a guide and rotating it so the receiver is as level as I can get it in that pic, the barrel's definitely drooping, along with the GL. :?

Looking at mine the barrel starts level....but then droops.
Thanks for adding the lines.

Here it is using a laser level
You'll have to trust me that the PR is level as the flash washes out the laser line.
Image

I e-mailed HCG to let them know of this and get it on their radar.....I don't want to assume someone else will do it.
HOWEVER I did let them know how beautiful it was.....but that this issue is becoming apparant with a lot of people.

Please PLEASE don't get me wrong....the PR is REALLY REALLY nice....but this needs addressing.
