The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

did you know there is a 1/12 scale Harley Davidson 'Transformer'.

Is this the one?

If so, it's not looking too good.

Thanks Gio!

I'll just use the spunkmeyer position of that part.

I only have 4 more parts to model on that side.

Looking Good Birdie!

I should have another piece or two by the weekend.

Still looking for another Trigon kit for Gio. Got out-bid on one.

Will need a volunteer to paint it BB though. Anyone??

Matt,
what's the problem with painting BB? Just use Humbrol thinner and everything should be fine (unless you are saying you don't have any - in that case send it over and I'll take care of it).

Simon,
that looks like nice. :)
However, I hope you didn't glue the L-piece in place as it needs to be aligned to the top edge and not to the side.

Cheers,
Stefan

Nope, just a dab of Prit while I was playing around with the parts to see how they fit.

I've been slaving on my SG sight custom parts, so I haven't much of a chance to work with the helmet parts yet :)

I don't have any BB. Thanks for the offer!

I thought it would be nice gesture to give Gio an original part

to replace the missing one for all his help.

So, don't think I'm hording the Trigon kits.

Woo!

I wonder what that thing is?

Are the lines on the top a result of the printing process? I've never actually seen one of those things at work.

Looking great! :)

I've got all the found parts in place, working on the scratch built bits.

Now that looks fantastic! :D
How did you get the smooth surface to the printed parts? Filler or just sanding?
Oh, one nitpicking detail: If you look at "ferro_01_459.jpg" you'll notice that the smaller diameter of the "mushroom" part should be a bit larger (maybe a millimeter or so).

Cheers,
Stefan

Thanks Guys.

It has been fun for sure.

I use 3M spot putty along with a good primer to smooth out the
parts.

True. I checked my part. and the offset difference is .9mm .
I guess I can go a little further, maybe .6/.5mm

The scale is challenging to get everything to line up per the picts.

And Nick, PM coming in..

It's really amazing how all those pictures play tricks with the size perception of the parts - the central cylinder (the megatron scope part) is only 3cm in diameter (and I'm talking about the large diameter of it!)!

Cheers,
Stefan

Not surprising. Just a few years ago it was impossible to find a pack of instant Polaroid film for less then $30.

Considering you could then and still can today, find a pack of 6 rolls of 35mm film for around $6.00, kinda takes the thunder out of Polaroid.:(
