The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

There seems to be a bit of a steep angle to the barrel and vent, but that could just be the lack of any mounting block between the Spas cage and the Thompson receiver? :)

Can't wait to see it finished.

alan, just slung it on the scales it comes out at 10 lbs so far, i have no idea what a hero weighs but if i go with steel shrouds it will add a fair bit more i think :? PVB none of it is fixed together at the moment so its propped on bits of wood and odds and sods just to take the pictures so its pretty much all out of line its nowhere near finished yet , Rob

as i scrolled down the page and saw it all layed out so far i actually yelled "OH WOW!!" haha :D

its just so so beautiful Rob, and i love the real beat up look to it. how a PR should look in my opinion (even the screen used rifles were a little rough around the edges and i think that just adds to the realism).

really looking forward to seeing more :)

This is why I come here to visit from time to time. Rob this build is coming together great. It is just so cool to see a this thing come together from nothing but scrap metal. You inspire me.

:mt: Some threads just need to be bumped.
hope this isn't frowned upon here. figure it's relevant.
If anyone knows Jester, we've gotta get him to post the finished M41A.

Def an impressive build and now added to the archives in the 'fan made All-Stars' pulse rifle thread.

Hi guys it's been some time since I was last here it's nice to see this one is still turning heads .First the good news I still have it and maybe one day I will get around to finishing it .The bad news was all the way through the build I was suffering from some pretty serious health problems and towards the end I took a steep downward turn coming very close to death .Lucky for me the team of docs and specialist's that took care of me kept me the right side of the turf ,but it has left long lasting and incurable problems that I struggle with daily .I still look back with fond memories of all the members who gave their time and advice to get this thing off the ground in the first place . It had just been a dream of mine to own a pulse but at that time everything was way out of my price range so making one was my only option. I had no background in metal work and was completely self taught, I used to cut down trees for a living lol . I hope my build gives others an idea on how to make one of these things or just the inspiration to give it a go .If I ever get to finish this one you guys will be the first to know .I very much appreciate this thread being added to the archive It means a great deal to me and I truly hope it inspires others to have a go. For all the guys that helped me with ideas, plans or just well wishes (too many to mention but you all know who you are ) Massive thanks and many happy memories of my time spent here with you all. Stay safe be well and best wishes to you all. Rob aka Jester.
