No worries. I've found what's happening.

Your browser is still sending the old cookie (named phpbb3_sm56f) occasionally for some reason. The new cookie is called phpbb3_al. The server hasn't sent the old cookie out to anyone since about 11am this morning when I changed it. The second you are sending the duff cookie, the server is sending you the proper one.

Either your browser isn't killing off cookies properly or your ISP is doing a psychotic level of caching.

Anyone know how to resolve this? PVB: are you having the issue on the PC or iPad or both?

Oh, and is anyone else still having problems?

I last nuked the cookies on both PC and iPad earlier today (might have been before 11am), so I'll nuke them from orbit again.

I'm gonna be doing some destructive testing over the next hour or so to see if I can work out what caused the outage. Might see periods of slowness/deadness again.

Looks like it wasn't my config after all ....

Datacentre guys say that it was a network outage. I'll be monitoring carefully, and if this happens often I won't hesitate to up and move us again ....

Had no login issues since last night.

Dare I ask if anyone is still having problems? With staying logged in or anything else?

Is performance OK from the USA/Canada/where you are? It's rocket-ship in the UK but my company's US proxies are slow for everything so it's hard to get a sense for it.
