The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

Finally, the initial test of my vacuum former to see how well the part might be duplicated. Still putting together a few assembly images and hopefully will have some more to show here real soon. All feedback is appreciated and I will be glad to answer any questions that I can. Thanks for looking. :D

Thanks so much for the kind feedback with this. I am truly humbled. :)

Just got finished re-tooling my masters and have perfected the proper forming techniques. Never worked with this medium before. You gents should already know that I call the A.L. home for all things great with the ALIENS and the USCM genre. The three test proto's pictured above have already been assembled and have done their bit for king and country. It just so happens that the 30th anniversary is upon us so the first three to message me receives one of the pictured above for the cost of postage. Mods, these three are freebies. Just need help with postage which is outside my domain. One per decade that I have been captivated should do it. It would be a true shame to toss them in the bin to save space for the new ones....

Yessir. After pushing around several different approaches on the button detail, there is still opportunity for someone to create an upgrade for this replica. A request for custom graphics help in the way of water soluble transfer decals have been made. No one has answered the call at this point. Until that day comes, elegant suggestion will need fill the void. :D

There are little rubber furniture pads that would be just about the right size. I didn't mean my question to come across as a negative though, I like the lookof this and the possibility for refinement.

No negativity taken on this end, Christian. I promise. It was a fair and well placed question. You should get one of these and work your magic on it. :D

Not at all sir. Excellent idea! Hopefully he will notice this topic and chime in. I am all for collaborative work as this particular set dressing has presented its fair share of obstacles for me to tackle on my own. It would truly be a wonderful thing for this piece to draw in some extra input.

I've activated an interest thread under the Base PX forum. Jumped the gun earlier but it would be a much better idea to continue improving what has already been done. The A.L. has always been a wonderful place to facilitate inspiration. Let's keep the momentum going with this. But, yeah. Check the thread over there too. :D
