The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

Glad you liked it. Did you read the "Theatrical" or "SE" version?

I read both. But prefer the se, the whole time I was thinking 'I need to know how he escaped,'

I can see it in my head as a graphic novel.. I am guessing you farmed it as a script, but have you considered hitting up the dark horse guys they love aliens!

I've considered doing a graphic novel, but most comic houses don't accept unsolicited manuscripts.

Add to that, the fact that hiring an artist is VERY cost prohibitive. I've approached a few "fans with skills" in the past,
but sadly their salary demands as an artist for hire were far above what I could afford for such a project, even if it
was done in black and white.

LOL! In all honsety, the Trek influence never occurred to me until you pointed it out! Too funny.

As to the other, that one is just parallel thinking and not even so much a homage. I needed a way to "get around"
the acid for blood, and not have the knife (or the hero) get melted a second time. :)

Shame a few members in costume cant act out the scenes and have them photgraphed then layer the text captions over the top and stitching it all into a graphic novel. however, Locations, props, and getting people together would be a pain in the backside i bet. Would be a great Aliens Legacy production lol

Updated the links to the two versions of the screenplay in the first post on page 1.
My web page is down indefinitely, so at least here is a semi-permanent space for them to be viewed.

Enjoy!

Annual thread update for those with too much time on their hands. :)

The files are in the first post. Get a soda and a bowl of popcorn, it's about a 2 hour read.

Let me know if the files don't work. And enjoy!

Russ, there is a website for getting custom artwork created for very low prices. The only problem is that most of the talent is over seas so there might be a language issue depending on which country they are in.

My wife hired someone from this website to do some illustrations for a small-run book. Everything went smoothly and the artwork was great. I'll try and get the website for you if you like.

Sure! Don't know if I can afford anything right now (too many irons in the fire as always...)
but having options is never a bad thing! :)

Funny you should update as with starting my own build I've been reading these again. Just can't believe what a great job you did rook. An animated or cgi would still rock. Voiced by Bill Paxton!

I agree. :) What's really funny is I started re-reading it myself... and found 2 spelling errors. Doh! :)

I guess you could consider me "fashionably" late to this party. If three years is considered fashionable, and I do apologize, a thousand times over, for the necroposting.

Despite just finding this over the weekend, I consider this to be the best post-Aliens fanfiction I've ever read.

Not sure you'll see this, Russ, but would you mind if I did a "concept sketch" of Hudson in the poncho?
