The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

Hurry Jonsey hurry. Newt is thirsty.
Seriously, I want my next USCM toast at Dcon to be from a "Newt cup".

Oki I did some research on the Newts cup. As I have been down with the flu the last couple of weeks I haven't had time doing a visual survey yet. I ran through the sites of the local company suppliers going through the arsenal of 40 different cups and I must admit it looked grim. All had newer versions but then guess what!! There is actually still a company here that has them. Unfortunately I couldn't get a bigger picture. But here it is: (the brown one, it looks black but is 100 % brow by article name)

In a good case scenario I can get like 50 of them for about $ 10, twice the price as I cant order them through a company but as a private person (plus an insane shipping cost around $20, ill have to check out correct figures later) but first I also have to check with some local dealers to see if we can get them cheaper. I have also checked for resuppliers in UK and the States but they don't seem to have this article on their sites (they only have modern stuff).

Edit: But then again Newts cup seems to have a flat handle knob and this one doesn't (see this one have an slightly rise. But... **sigh** on another (the top) picture from another angle it looks a little bit flatter. I think we need more pics from Newt before doing the final sentence. Im going to my DVD right now!

Great! Absolutely fantastic!
I say this is the Legacy Board Cup.
Check it out and tell me how much money I have to put where to get a few of them.

Sorry. Not from here. Reccon the cups are out of production. All I could find are the ones above (Mk2  ), they are very similar but have a small pattern engraved on the top and a slight saddle for the thumb. The older ones used in the movie had flat rectangular tops on the knob as I remember them.

Hey peeps,
Don't suppose anyone here has had any luck finding the cup yet? I noticed the last post was 13 years ago nearly to the day as well but thought someone might have had some luck?

Emptied my parents apartment a last autumn and found lots of stuff from the 80’s but no cups. Found some similar white ones I can always paint I brown but no…he..he.. besides the plastic is super brittle and I doubt any would have survived. However I have a good track on glass ash trays on Gateway as well as the cognac glasses. Think they are Ikea related. I had some acquaintances back in the days that had them and I just realized it a few years ago watching the movie for the #122 time (sic). Hey why is nobody collecting them?, must still be hundreds around in 2nd hand shops.
