The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

As for your VP-70, you should buy either the resin one or, if you want it to be solid and good looking, buy the UHC gas airsoft one that came out a few months back. They have those at precisionairsoft.net

Or you could talk to Cplbeaudoin here on the boards about one of the cheap VP-70 cap guns he sells. I still for the life of me have no idea where he finds the daggone things, but apparently some toy company made a bright orange cap gun version of the VP-70 a while back, complete with a magazine that drops out and a slide that racks when you pull it. I have one, and it's awesome. Just spray paint it and you're good to go :)

If he still has any. Dom did say at D*con that the cap VP70s were a rare breed up there in the Great White North.

That was the most truthful part of the whole statement. ;)

Options...

1) Ask Dom if he has any of the cap gun beauties left.
2) Find a resin kit at a convention or online.
3) Invent a "enlarge ray" to turn Hot Toys 1/6th gear into 1/1 gear.

1) A few left...
2) Too expensive for what you get IMO... spend a few bucks more & get the Tanio Koba.
3) Didn't Tony invent one of those things..? ...turned in on in his pants..?

There's no real rush on a .sig.
Just wait until something really strikes you.

If you mean the .rar files, then you should Google and find WinRar, a compressed file extraction program, which will unpack the .rar files into (in these cases) .jpg files, for printing on card.

So many Tony's on the board's Dom.....tough to know which one you are talking about

As for cheap VP's.......toothpaste ones (resin) can be found at most cons. but if you looking for anything cheap....they will be static.
You can always buy a static pulse rifle like Spat's and then save up and buy a counter and install it later.

I'd use HP Premium paper, but ti depends what your printer can handle as to how thick paper/card you can use.
