The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

Text update. I have aquired two suits of armour :D

One set from Andi which will make up the upper body and one set from Stew which will be the lower body. Also pincherd scapes spare BDUs to use for the time being, polish desert.

So now I've got the full load out which I'm modding slowly but surly:

Helmet as pictured above,
Boots as pictured above
Polish desert BDUs
Chef's standard Greves
Neil story groin plates, chef/te ab pad (According to andi the pad was a TE one as chef didnt have the material on hand at the time but it does have a chef tab sewn in so not sure what the deal with that is) reguardless its great
Chef chest and shoulder armour made specially for andi in 4mm abs instead of the usual stuff.
Carasmacs holster, webbing, belt, bronica pouch, VP-70, dog tags and hopefully soon his seiko cast too etc.

Currently repainting everything, andi and I used slightly different paints for our bulds so I'm gonna go over his camo pattern with my paints to get everything matching. But even as I do that I'm trooping the armour as it looks quite fun with the clearly older and newer parts. I think I'm going to leave one plate exactly as andi painted it as a wee tribute plate as we used to do sometimes in the mando mercs.

Also always working on nre props. Now have 4 Veeps, 3 caramacs, and my original, the correct knife, several bronica style lighters and casts, belt tool, pulse rifle, hand welder, locater etc. things are going well.

Few pics of my gear.

Chest/shoulder/etc are Andi Taylor's old armour refitted to me and repainted to better match the rest of my gear.
Ab plates from Neil Storey
Helmet is a custom scratch build using an austrian M1 helmet, a hand made foamex bump plate, neil storey ear flap and mystery lobster plates donated by a friend. All details are from James Forder
Belt/Webbing/Holster/Bronica Pouch/NR sheath/dogtags from James.
Real bronica in the pouch (Stainless steel, not hick's one)
Casting of my real knife bolted into the sheath
Aluminium 'nades from Ranchor Rider
Mystery Belt Pouch (Possibly Noble)

It's all coming together well. I'm not huge on my 3 main bits of graffiti all being on the front and in three different languages but oh well.
Ab plates have had an oil paint weathering pass, chest is still waiting on that treatment, Helmet needs the weathering buffed back some, some minor repainting done then needs the oil paint redone, then everything is getting hit with grate polish

I'm actually planning two new helmet builds and toying with the idea of selling this one

New helmet plan 1: Light weight trooping helmet, all fibreglass with some nice quality replica pieces
New helmet plan 2: Full Hero helmet, Steel pot. All aluminium add ons either from Neil Storey or possibly Terry if I can wrangle a set from him. Genuine Pentax. Genuine Dutch Sleeping matt. I dont have an itex but I do have a michillin branded ear defender from the same period which is the exact same shape and construction as the itex, just without the texture or itex logo. All aluminium beyer replica as I'm saving my original beyer for a smart gun headset, which I'll eventually swap out for a real one if I ever get my hands on a second. Lemo connector inside the helmet pouch. And possibly a special extra feature if I'm feeling brave and adventurous

That's all the serious updates for now. Working away on finishing a full suit of Neil armour for Dan which is approaching its finished state, just gotta finish painting the greaves and do the last of the helmet work and working on light and sound for my pulse rifle which is going relatively well.

Good Hunting all

Love this, especially the chest graffiti [*idea yoink* :D ].
I'd not worry too much about the three languages thing; Hicks had two, right ... and the Corps is definitely multicultural.
