Oxy would sound about right...

Hot enough to transfer very quick localised heat to melt the aluminium through without taking so much time that the heat would dissipate through the rest of the panel causing undue distortion.

Aluminium sucks heat really quickly, so you'd need a very very quick blast to punch through it nicely.
