The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

Actual prop was painted a long discontinued color called "brown bess". It was a wild color changing effect pretty dramtically depending lighting. With the blue filter on the camera during filming it often appeared to be olive drab. The "olive drab" vs. "brown bess" (or modern approximation) feud has been raging ever since.

You want how it looked on screen? Or how it looked in real life? And the war rages on!!!

**don't trust current photos of the remaining props as they were repainted MANY time for other projects and rentals after Aliens was filmed**

…and here they are…A few more photos.

Below notice the Quartermaster Tag that was attached to each of the Pulse Rifles going out to their new homes. Each one was filled in with an individual serial number.

Dean Dymerski provided dummy 12GA Shotgun shells to cycle through the shotgun so as not to scar up the aluminum PR Rounds provided.

I came up with the idea to do a Technical Manual for the Purlse Rifle similar to the ones issued by the US Army.
I located a Thompson TM and used it as a guide. Below is a photo of the cover. I will try to locate my copy and reprint it here.
This manual was later enhanced by Derrick Baena into a superb and much superior version to the one I did (although mine was pretty good…LOL)
Derrick was kind enough to include mine and Steves name in the credits of his manual.

Below are the photos I took of Steve holding one of the earlier prototypes of the Pulse Rifle.
These photos were used for the Technical Manual I wrote and that included with each order.

Here you see one of the first of the 12 Military crate style cases my Brother-in-Law (Tony Kunz) made for the delivery of the initial run of the final version of the Pulse Rifles.

I hope you check back soon to see more upcoming photos.
