The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

Nope, not at all!

You see, this isn't really a "Gather interest and make XX amount to hand out after", these are made once ordered. Meaning you order them yourself, Shapeways will make them and ship them to you. All I do is supply Shapeways the design, and they stack any markups I have and give it to me once a month, provided it is over $30 I make in sales. If it is under $30, they hold it until I make enough.

I was looking for "interest" just to save myself work and time uploading to Shapeways, and get some criticisms and such before I offered them to the public.

So once I know that they look good, I will open them up to the public and you order them whenever you want, however many you want.

I guess now I can start looking into appealing combinations of sets, since many would like to order more than one set, and even different branches. For certain I will offer:

- 1 USCM Pair
- 2 USCM Pairs
- 3 USCM Pairs
- 1 UACM Pair
- 2 UACM Pairs
- 3 UACM Pairs
- 1 UKCM Pair
- 2 UKCM Pairs
- 3 UKCM Pairs

But I could offer a combination, say:
- 1 US, 1 UA Pairs
- 1 US, 1 UK Pairs
- 1 US, 2 UA Pairs

- 1 US, 2 UK Pairs
- 1 UA, 2 US Pairs
- 1 UK, 2 US Pairs
- 1 US, 1 UA, 1 UK Pairs

Remember that if you order more than one pair in one file, they will ALL be printed in the same finish though

Got them today!

Been playing with them a bit. They do fit a standard butterfly clutch back, quite well actually, due to the somewhat rough texture. I would still be very careful with the posts however, because they are only 1mm diameter. They will pierce through material. I haven't yet taken photos of these on my Service C shirt yet, cause (don't laugh! haha) I can't push them through all the way, totally my own fault, damn these weak little muscles!! haha. I did get it to pierce through ever so slightly though. Will have to wait for someone else to do it for me haha, then I will take photos of them on the shirt.

Minor problem however, and again, not my fault and totally nothing wrong with the product. I may or may not be able to keep these pins :( because I actually ordered 3 sets with 2 different branches, and they sent ALL U.A.C.M. pins. I checked the file that was attached to my receipt and it was indeed Shapeways fault. I am in the process of dealing with customer service. The funny thing is I asked for a photo of the finished product before they shipped it, and they said "we don't do that". But had they have sent me a photo, I would have caught the mistake! haha. I'm hoping that I get to keep these, and will get refunded, but it just seems too good to be true, sadly :( We will see!

Next to standard "Military Butterfly Clutch backs" and a good ol' Canadian 25 cent piece!

Looking great!
I hope the remaining questions get resolved with Shapeways and you get them to your Service C shirt soon.

I did!

Shapeways was quick to resolve the issue, and has issued the pins they sent as a "gift" and are reprinting the original file at no additional cost :)

I was going to post these photos in the Base PX thread I want to create, but I still need to prep my store and create the files with the different pins and upload them, which I will do tomorrow now, but here is the photos I took tonight!

Forgive the look of my Service C shirt, it needs a good ironing, and I'm fussy about the "imperfections" that come with a scratch built shirt, so it doesn't have that sharp look to it. Someday I will find a suitable womens shirt to use as a base and get it looking a bit better :)
