The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

Also I'd lose the capital letters at the start of words other than at the beginning of a sentence. Try it and see how much neater it looks.

Yeah, I saw the typos but haven't had a chance to fix those yet. The capitals are from the font I used. It's the quickest "spacey" font I could find. Any recommendations on a better font to use? I have the same fonts my Navy cert used, but it's a pretty standard roman font.

Would you be willing to make a few of these for those would you like it? I have the Academy cert from my Aliens Collectors Edition I got and I'll be scanning that this weekend and touching it up on Photoshop.

Works differently Stateside, as I understand it.
Most Brits I know who went to a military college and especially a military university did so as part of their commission. Never heard of the rank and file doing that.

I'd be happy to put on names and dates if people want them and email them. But it will take me a bit as I will not have a lot of free time for work. Might be easier if I just make it an editable PDF and people can type in and print whatever they want for the name and company.

So, should I stick with the all cap bankers font or should I switch to something more traditional?

Put a different font on, corrected the spelling (I hope) and fixed slight error with the roundel.

That looks kick ass! Any way you could send an editable PDF copy or make a few for myself? I'd appreciate it and hang that in my office!

I need to recenter some of the type, but I think I will stick with the second font. To save time (and honestly work on my part), I will make it a PDF file where you can "fill in the blank." Just need to relearn how to do that on Adobe. :)

When you graduate from a US military academy, you get the commission and degree diploma. From the looks of it, Academy training is just that, completed "training."

I have not had a chance to use Acrobat Editor yet, but I did make a "blank" jpeg copy. The font is Rockwell, for anyone that wants to add type to it.

Will get the editable PDF when I can. :(

I can make it into a PDF. My goal is to have the blanks with an editable pdf format, I just haven't had a chance to use acrobat yet.

In a similar vein as the serial numbers, which one do we want to use as the official certificate of the corp?

Just a couple of questions from a civvi...

1. What does the CO number refer too?

2. What does being designated HALL OF FAME actually mean? Doesn't make sence to me!

Nice work though bud, looks the part :)

It's word for word from my Navy boot certificate. CO stands for company. Recruit are broken into companies (or divisions, now) in navy boot camp for training purposes. Hall of Fame is a designation to the recruit company that does the best for their graduating class ( I think my class had ten or twelve companies).
