The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

The stuff I use takes 12 hours before you can remove it from the pressure pot. My first pressure pot worked great, and was pretty simple. It does require a compressor, but if you have one of those all you need is a cheap pressure pot, and an air "Regulator" that you can regulate between 10 to 15psi.

I wanted to post a few tips on building this kit up. Sorry for the delay.

Included in the kit is a block of foam. When I did mine, I cut small pieces of the foam, and glued them into the button indents. I then glued the buttons to the foam. It made them feel more real when pressed.

Next part is the clear lense. I do light sanding to all 4 corners. These are where the fit is tightest. I actually sand at a slight angle to aid in getting it to press in.

If you want to make the Riply watch. I place the window in place, and put 2 pieces of the black adhesive film in place. I then remove the lense, turn it over, and use a sharp blade to remove the excess using the edge of the lense as a guide.
Image
You can then place your graphic in, and press the lense in place.

Last I glue on the back, and attach the strap using the pins included.
Now you can always be found. :)

What type of glue do you recommend for this build.

I just used superglue. If you sand the window carefully then you shouldn't need any glue for that. It can hold well by itself.

Do you know if the internals of a real pulsemeter will fit in your case? I have one that is not the exact model and would like to transplant into one of your cases.

Well the internals of this style would fit, but the you would need a real set of buttons also. My buttons are just made with guide pins on them, and the real ones have pins that have retainers on the end. No way of knowing if the internals of anything else would fit.

Well at least a small part of it for those in need. I am making these at the moment so that they can be glued to the end if a cheap set of ear buds with the earpiece removed.

Great idea! :)

These are rather hard to find and would be great for a hack pouch.
I would be interested in a set.

I just wanted to mention I got one of these kits and they are fantastic! One of the best kits out of the box I have ever seen. All I had to do was assemble it!
