The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

I bought the Star Wars blaster and hacksawed the Singlepoint off it (sorry for the blurry picture)

It will take a little TLC and some paint, but this is far more accurate than my previous attempt:

Once the Singlepoint is attached I can start in on the detailing. I want to rework the front tip of the gun, add some interior details, and then work on recreating some of the text and signage the original had. Like everything else on the Nostromo this gun was covered in those little rub-on alignment cross-hairs. I hear the originals are impossible to get, so I'll need to make my own I guess!

Curse my lack of RPF membership, they won't let me see that page.

Damn! I'll be needing some of those for the gun and another project I'm cooking up.

$18 at Kmart. Looks pretty spot on, and certainly beats the cost of a real Singlepoint!

I found a bunch if these single point blasters today, I grabbed 3 of them, once I get shipping estimates I'll offer some of them if there's interest :)
