The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

I've been saying it for years... we need this damn music playing for the colour party to keep cadence. I end up screaming cadence every year and ended killing my voice by Saturday morning. If we could get a Marine behind us with a freaking loud portable sound source and play this on a loop, it would kick serious ass... providing we can find guys who can figure out how to obtain cadence from it.

Ideally, we would need a bass drum as well.

Who's talking about "dream parades"?

I believe Dom is dead serious about having this blasting out of the loudest portable sound system possible for next year's D-Con parade.

"Loudest" would probably mean a vehicle with a butt kicking audio system.

Actually, you don't want to go too loud with this sort of thing, anyway.

If it's too loud, you'll get too much reverb and echoing off the surrounding buildings, the definition between notes will blur awfully and no-one will be able to keep step!!

Or, as my drum teacher used to call it, you'll get a Train Wreck!

I HAVE BEEN LOOKING FOR THIS FOR WELL OVER A DECADE! I was so disappointed when I was 16 which was 14 years ago and finally had a job and bought the Aliens sound track only to realize it didn't have this track.

Thank you!

Here is a ripped MP3 I had one of the youtube audio ripping sites do. Please don't post this elsewhere so my ISP doesn't get mad at me for file hosting on my webspace :P :

it would be pretty cool if we did find some marines with marching band experience and played this as we marched at D*C

Easy to keep cadence. The bass drums line it up. Pretty sure its a standard 120 cadence. Yup just tapped my feet out to it. Works wonderfully.

Then again IMO combat geared Marines wouldn't be marching in a parade formation. Combat Patrol seems to "look better" my reenacting club has given it a few runs at the 4th of July parades and it allows us to move at any pace (as the accordion rolls...) and at least in that case a chance to interact with the crowd.

If the parade route is long you might want to have some other marches planned.
Speaking as a drummer, this being played on continuous loop for more than half an hour might REALLY start to get on the tits of anyone not heavily into the technicalities of music!!
