The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

Ah resizing shouldn't be an issue as I make most of my own costumes anyway so I have plans for them already. Just in the process of removing the bottom shirt pockets at the moment which are only a pain due to them putting a strengthening stitch in the top of the pocket.

OK, cool! Handy skill to have. Sewing machines scare me so I leave that sort of stuff to my mum. ;)

Admittedly there are some things I don't like doing.....like buttons! I hate those things I force my mum to do them aswell. For ages I couldn't get sleeves into things either but now I can. Making trousers now thats a whole different ball game I'd end up sewing something on the wrong way

I had issuses with the pockets on my P. D. BDU's too. Got them in the end though. Worse than removing the pockets was trying to sew the pocket back onto the leg when I moved that.

I can use a sewing machine, but that was a nightmare. The amount of times I sewed the goram leg together and had to rip out the stitching. I the end it cam out ok, not totally happy with it but it'll do for now.

The real major issue I have with the P. D. BDU's is the seat reinforcing makes the butt side look a little gumby, but that's a minor detail.

Cheers,
Lawrie.

I think I will be handsewing the pocket back onto the leg when I get round to it as I'm good at sewing the wrong bits together, including myself to my costumes.
