The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

Mike,

Can you tell me what scale the part is for the the cable end piece you have?

You have Id'ed it as a Robotech Valkyrie part, while Stefan says it's a Robotech Changers Tabor?

The website for the jack plugs is in quebec, so we'd need as US or Canadian to organise it.

I've ordered some from the UK Bitsbox website to see if they are the same.

I have the kit on the way and post some pictures as soon as it arrives.

The 2.5mm connector might be available here (for the UK guys): http://www.bitsbox.co.uk/connects.html
However, they used the same picture as for the 3.5mm version. So I think it would be wise to get a confirmation that these are PCJ210.
On the other hand these go for 0.29GBP - so you can't do much wrong by ordering it.

Cheers,
Stefan

... Checking again the dimensions... with better light and in better way...
I can say definitively that the original phone jack is the PCJ 210 from Stefan link ...

http://www.megastar.com/products/procom ... es/A-4.jpg

Also for the light color, the original one is in "beige" color!

I took other photos too...

Bye

A thing I just noted:

The two marked parts seem to be identical (except for being cut down).

Cheers,
Stefan

Giò,

here's another one for you: Are the elements marked in the following pictures separate parts?

Stefan the two identical parts seem very familiar to me. I'm probably completely wrong but I wonder if they're from something like a 16A Euro connector, like this one:

Hi Stefan,

Yes, those ones are two separate pieces...

green part:
the rectangular piece is from a model kit, the "circular" part, below, is in resin, seems hand-made...

red and violet parts: same piece!

And yes, those "L" pieces are identical, ... one reverse...

Giò

Harry,

do you have any way to check this?

Giò,

thanks for the clearification. I thought I'd see a parting line between the red and the blue/violet part.
The base for the colored elements also seems to be separate part. Is that wood?
The knob on the rectangular piece looks like the upper knob on the helmet camera - could this be the same piece?

Cheers,
Stefan

Stefan ...
No wood, only resin!

And no, ...the knob on the rectangular piece is NOT the same!

Tomorrow I'll post a photo series about the Spunk helmet camera...

...Other requests about the photos :-) ???

Bye
Giò

I just bought a pack of 10 PCJ210 socket from ebay. If these turn out correct I'll have a few spare ones

Cheers,
Stefan

Gio,

Is this part metal?

Image

Looks like some kind of small bracket. Found something similar in my greeblie box. Too long, but size is otherwise similar.

Simon,

to me it looks like the part is made of white plastic. Judging from the style I'd say that it could be from the same source than the two parts I marked next to it, as well as those "double tubes" that are used in three places on the right earpiece.

Cheers,
Stefan

I'm feeling it could be a cable grip or a cupboard door magnet possibly.

Harry

I didn't realize until looking at one of the other pics that it was '3 dimensional' rather than 'bent strip' (forgive my lack of technical description skill)

Harry, I can see where you are coming from.

It actually does look like a cable grip..one that screws into the back of a computer with the screws that hold it in....good thinking Harry.
