Also Prometheus in legend is about a mortal man that resisted the gods and brought abillity to make fire to humanity...

Personal theory: could the story show the Space Jockeys could have been part of our own development millions of years ago?

Sounds like it's going to be Scott's version of Stargate to me. (with the omega thing anyway).
Yes I know that was a board suggestion as well.

I'm just sceptical because he's slowly moving in and out of it being a movie about the alien species.

Of course all these rumours, stories, inside track snippets etc could be a carefully orchestrated smoke screen to keep the actual story a secret for as long as possible?

No such thing as bad publicity as they saying goes even if people aren't saying good things in response to these "leaks" they ARE talking about the film!!

I like how people are making it out to be a predator, but surely the more ideal answer would be that it's either a reference like the alien skull in pred 2 or the space jockey's are traders and trade with the preds.

Does look cool for a concept though. Looks slimmer than the jockey from the craft, although he was fused with his chair so.

Who had a Commodore 64?

In 1989, Electronic Arts released a video game named Project Firestart. This game was a horror themed action adventure for the Commodore 64. Totally inspired by Alien.

Here's the story from Wikipedia...

Project Firestart began on February 13, 2061, aboard the research ship U.S.S. Prometheus. Financed by the System Science Foundation (SSF), an agency of the United System States (USS), the project's goal was to produce strong, durable laborers capable of helping Belters mine titanium and iridium on selected moons and asteroids.Although the first generation genetic reshaping is extremely hazardous, it was allowed because the geneticists involved were required to follow strict safeguards guaranteeing tight control over the experiment's end product. But the U.S.S. Prometheus no longer responds. The safeguards must have been breached. If they have, Firestart is out of control. The SSF has assigned you to clean up the mess.

Also to say the Xeno's do things which are perverse does not necessarily mean sexually perverted it could equally mean;
1.Showing a deliberate and obstinate desire to behave in a way that is unreasonable or unacceptable, often in spite of the consequences.
2. Contrary to the accepted or expected standard or practice.

In other words they may not behave as we have come to expect Xenos to behave!

I read somewhere the film isn't going to be a Sequel, prequel or even a reboot its just another take on the Alien saga set independently of everything that has gone before. Ive read Jon Spaights, Shadow 19 script (before he worked rewriting the Prequel script and the Prometheus starship in the script sounds a bit USS Enterprise like in sleekness and technology. Also people have been reported as saying the Prommy ship in the Prequel is a high tech experimental ship very sleek looking. Perhaps Scott is going down the Star Trek gone dark route.
