Hi,

I'm Jez aka BingoBongo275 aka owner of StarWarsHelmets.com

I'm looking at widening my interest beyond the lucas movies and have always loved the Alien movies. I've got two kids and my young son is becoming equally interested (probably via a bit of coercion).

About 18 months ago I got one of Bruce H's heads (I think its an Alien 3 or 4) but I had him paint it up more like the original chappy. I'll post a couple of pics if people are interested.

Anyway, looking forward to learning some cool stuff and hopefully completing my Alien

hey kids,

SOME of you may remember me from waaaay back when the aliens board was still on EZboard format....I sold over 30 MiM pulse rifle kits back then...good, thought that might jog the memory

Anyhow, after this year's dragon con (we were the SST group with the cute blonde) and seeing how SUHWEET everyone looked, my group and I decided to come after this outfit next. I figure as Starship Troopers, we got called marines so much, might as well become one, right ? To second that, one of my truly good friends is now an Aliens nut (stephen210) so I guess I have no choice ! Its too awesome to pass up.

Now for the fun, when I last left my aliens progress I had my pulse rifle finished using an MiM kit and real parts (yes, including the guns) which for the cost, I could have picked up a set of Terry English armor !! (ah hindsite, ain't it beautiful...) Anyhow,here's my precious :

Name here is Mike and I've always been fasinated by the movie Aliens. I intend on making a full fledged USCM costume with WORKING weapons. I already own a whole pile of guns so i figured I might as well pick up a few more. I'm currently working on buying a used H&K VP70Z 9mm pistol. That was my post on the correct holster. I already have a Gerber MK2 from WAAAYY back (1980) and jungle boots (Panama soles) and web belt. I have a looonnng way to go. Oh yeah, I'll probably make my pulse rifle with a working Thompson .45 acp as I have all the correct documantation to buy that stuff, even here in Canada. Would be cool at some local 3 gun match to show up as a USCM!

Hi everyone. Been meaning to drop by and properly introdue myself for a while now. My name's Richard and I live in London in the UK....yup...another brit

I'm also a member of the UK Garrison of stormtroopers (TK3040) but have had a love affair with Aliens and the USCM costume since the movie first came out. I still remember seeing a set of armour (don't know if it was screen used) for sale in a memorabelia store on London's Charring Cross Road back at the end of the 80's and wishing that I could afford it!

I'm married with an 18 month old son and have been collecting mostly Star Wars costumes and prop replicas for a few years and have now decided to take the leap and get myself my USCM armour. Got Spat's on the way - should be here in a few weeks...man, I can't wait. Got my boots and am looking for BDUs and advice on a decent PR to get me started.
