The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

Ok,

here's a Revell 1:12 Harley:
Image

With the original part being about 40cm 1:12 scale might be more fitting.

Cheers,
Stefan

Gio,

Awesome! If I can make any restoration parts for you, just LMK.

I wouldn't have been able to make my helmet spot on, if it wasn't

for you.

Questions: What's the diameter of the dual metal cables on the
left side?

Could you post a pict of the Fero rear greeblie?
I thought it was different from the Spunk helmet.

Here's some picts of my helmet stuff, that I have slowly been working on the pass 1.5 years.

Nice work Matt, some impressive stuff there. I suppose it is possible that the back greeblie could be different on each helmet as the prop maker may have used similar pieces from the same kit or not wanted to go out and buy another kit just for one piece so used a simliar one, would make sense I guess.

Does anyone have verification on the scale of the kits that have been identified yet. Namely the Destroid kit, the valkyrie and Trigon ones and is there any specific model to buy.

Cheers

Darren

The destroid kit is 1/100 by imai.

I checked the scale and it looks perfect.

the trigon kit probably came only in one scale.

I just bought an revell bike kit, so I'll let you guys know

about that piece.

Still even if you collect all the parts, There is a lot of blending

between parts with fillers.

I might re sell the model kits after I measure them for CAD.

At least the expensive ones.

I think Matt gets them computer printed or something if I remember what I read earlier.

Are you planning to produce these as kits Matt or as complete pieces that people would just need to cut the relevant sections in the helmet and then fit these in?

Cheers

Darren

Trigon is 1/48 scale as is 'Drifand Dal' which is the same thing with a different name. Anyone confirmed the triangular thingy is definitely from this kit after my initial guess?

Guys,

What do you think on this VF-1J s a possibe source on the vented part?

Could also be where the correct clamp originates?

Hi birdie,

as I stated earlier, the end-pieces for the cables were from the Revell Tabor kit (see Link above to picture). The Valkyrie backpack in that kit was used for the welder part.

Cheers,
Stefan

PS: I was already bidding on that auction ....

No problem at all!
I just wanted to mention it to prevent any future "bid wars". If you need that backpack for your welder project, I'd say get the kit. It'll turn up again sooner or later. However, as far as I can tell from the parts at hand (a build up kit) there are no pieces on this model that were used for the helmet.

Cheers,
Stefan

Not interested in the welder :)

There are parts on that artwork that resemble the left-hand vented section of the helmet greeblies, abovete Harley part.

Harry,
doesn't look too bad (if you want to get a Tomahawk that is  )!
You need to get the Imai 1/100 scale Tomahawk to get the right part(s).

Birdie,
Just saw that you already canceled your bid - thanks a lot. If you really need that part let me know and I'll get the next one.

Cheers,
Stefan

Ah! I think I just got it!
However, the Valkyrie arm is way too small for that.

One interesting detail:

The Revell motorcycle kits are in most cases identical to the Imai versions (same molds)!

Stefan

It's just a wild guess, but could that part be an oil pan protector from an off-road wehicle kit?

Stefan

I *might* know what the part shaded in red is...
Image

I seem to recall taking apart part of an old portable cassette player or maybe a computer drive of some sort and seeing this part. I want to say it's a plug-in port of some sort, maybe for headsets? But I've had almost this same part in my hand and contemplating what I could use it for.
