The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

I don't have any experience with resin moulding, but I would be willing to give it a try.
Can't be too terribly complex, and the struts are a simple shape, really ! :)

Support arm progress report ( For my fellow Marine here in Wisconsin ! )
This batch of pix shows the effort required to fill in the gaping One Inch diameter holes
which the manufacturer felt were needed. :O
I think a half inch bolt will be sufficient to support an M56 !!!
So I needed to fill in the big one inch holes,
but said filler needed to be structurally sound -
so I wound up machining 8 washers down until they just fit into the openings,
then used mister wire-welder to make them permanent !

a pair of miniture pressure regulators,
to feed air to the cylinders.
The air cylinders can then be pressurised until they perfectly support
the weight of the M56 package !

and finally a shot to show how it will kind of sort of look
once it is all together !
my next part to weld up is the center link,
which will connect the two arm sections to each other !
