The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

@ObiHahn: Welcome aboard. Do you know Pino from the 501st German Garrison by any chance? Greetings from Hamburg.

@Glenn: Feel free to drop by when you are in Germany. Suggest you time it with a Con if possible.

@577_ops: I do indeed know Pino and have met the Basemental prop guys, Pino ordered stuff from Chef that will come in my parcel, so...yeah, the world is a village. ;)
I think you are already in contact with Desert Fox, he will be part of our team, I think he showed me pics of some of your stuff?

@Glenn: where are your in-laws located? Drop by if you happen to be near the Ruhr area some time.

@ObiHahn: Small world indeed. Talked with Pino & Desert Fox before. Hope to see you at FaRK.

It's a small world when communities and franchises mingle. Sadly, looks like I can't make FaRK this year, but there is always next year.
I see you are located in hamburg (meine Perle!), maybe we can meet up some time next time I come up. I am originally from the North of Germany and have many friends in Hamburg.

Seems there`s a lot of new blood from Germany around here. I`ll add myself to the list then.

Name`s Marco, 42 years old. I live in Berlin, Germany.

When I was 15 I manipulated my school passport to get into the cinema for Aliens (would have needed to be 16). I still remember the ticket vendor`s skeptical look. But I recall my bike ride home after the movie even better. I wasn`t pedalling, I was *flying* home. As most of you will understand, Aliens hasn`t left me since then.

Hobbywise I was mainly busy with Games Workshop`s Warhammer 40K over the last decades. I did a lot of work on the Tyranids (Hive Fleet Moloch, hence my name), some of it for the studio itself. My love for Tyranids definitely was birthed by the Alien influence and the personal horror aspect.

In 2013 I had some money to spend and moved into a bigger house. Since then my old love for Aliens has been re-ignited. I now have my own room filled with lifesize collectibles and even was able to make a lifelong dream reality: Getting my own complete lifesize Alien (2,3 m high).

If Spat wouldn`t have a wait list of up to a year I would have ordered my Colonial Marine Armour a long time ago. But now I was lucky enough to get a set of armour done by chef from another board member. Nickatron-Nick is currently repainting this for me. After seeing his work I feel honoured to have him on it. Counting the days till I have it in my grubby hands...

It will be interesting where this new journey takes me. Lamp and BDU`s are next, but to be honest I am also already contemplating a Smart Gun (don`t tell my girlfriend !!!). My poor, poor Credit Card...when I am finally allowed into the hallowed halls of the PX the poor thing just might melt.

Welcome, Marco - sounds like a great collection you have there.
Lamp and Motion Tracker parts are easier and cheaper to find here in Germany, so that's a plus, huh?

Welcome Moloch,
Good to see another Marine station in Germany.
WH40K Genestealer re-ignited my passion for Aliens. And later the Tyranids.
Go for the Smart gun!

Hello everybody! :)
After several years on IndyFanSites, Ghostbustersfans, the RPF forum,... I'm finally arrived at the outer space. I'm glad to joined the forum to learn more about my favourite movies and to meet more people with the same movie and prop passion.
I've built some props for my own collection before, like an all vintage parts Obi-Wan Lightsaber, or an all metall Proton Gun from the Ghostbusters. Now I'll try to get all the parts for a Aliens Motion Tracker. How far I may come?
Have a good day, and...we'll see us more often now.

Hello all. I signed up on the site because a friend of mine pointed out "hey, there's an Aliens costumer in your province on this site".
I'm an official Mandalorian Merc, I do some steampunk and a bit of whatever else. In general, I just love costuming. Aliens is particularly special to me though because the first two movies were regular viewing material for me and my dad. After losing him just over a year ago, I decided it was time to hit the big leagues with the costume I've always wanted to do; Vasquez. After supporting my husband's Star Wars addiction for years, he threw in with me on this one and plans to do Hudson to pair with me. It's the long term dream, but for now...gathering pieces a bit at a time, watching the movies a lot, and looking forward to the day when we can suit up and kick some alien tail.

Hello guys,

I am Alejandro Carbo from Cadiz in Spain.

I love Aliens Saga and specially the Giger creature. I am 31 and i am member of the 501st Spanish Garrison (Star Wars worldwide costuming group) from 2012 with three costumes: Tusken, stormtrooper and sandtrooper.

With my mate Alejandro Burrezo and others recruits i hope to be soon member of a new group: Spanish Colonial Marines. I have a Bob Auld xenomorph costume and before next year a complete colonial marine costume from Spatman.

Copied and pasted from my earlier intro on the Uk section :)
Hello
My Names Paul and its definitely about time I posted up my introduction.

I have been the hugest Fan of all things Alien since I was about ten years old in fact you could quite easily call it an obsession ( any one that knows me and may have seen my collection can verify lol)

I Have been Collecting Life-sized Alien Replicas for the last 8 Years and I also have a sizable collection of Autographs from people involved in the Alien Movies.

I have been into Costuming since 2009 ( I believe) and have a wardrobe with more Costumes than clothes lol.

I currently have an Alien Warrior Costume which is still in kit form but my Good Friend Adrian ( also on here) is being an absolute star and helping me with it which is very much needed as it was going nowhere fast 

And I now have a Full marine Costume that’s been commissioned also by a Member on here I believe and to say I am excited would be an Understatement , The Pulse Rifle should be arriving next week which is going to feel like Christmas .

Any Questions please feel free to ask .

Paul
