The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

Great!
If I had to choose between your version and the original, I'd pick yours without hesitation.
Two minor nitpicks (sorry - that's me):
- the sticker in the upper right corner seems to have a grey (silver?) background while you's is white
- the small white letters (233/R/7D and A/01) are a bit too large

Not that anyone will notice without a direct comparison.

Great work,
Stefan

'tis a thing of beauty! Very impressive! and your WIP photo's have been just brilliant to follow. The finished result is incredible!!!! Just wondering though, have you installed any kind of spring to the lever? Or would that be too tricky?
And now a request....Please can you build from scratch the NOSTROMO self destruct mechanism!!!!!?????? Judging by this, if anyone can do it...you can!!!!

Where was I when this thread started gaining speed again?

Mike,
I would like to take this opportunity to simply say this to you...

AWESOME -- TOTALLY AWESOME!

Seriously dude, that is some freaking amazing work! I never thought I could ever fall in love with an airlock release, but man... was I wrong.

Very, very well done my friend! 8)

Is it bad that I want one of these, and use it in some practical manor? Like an automatic attic hatch?

It's a good start. Now you can use that as the starting point for the 1/1 Sulaco. You should be able to get that done in no time!

That is some skill displayed while making that Air Lock Release.

Spat, if you finance the 100 to 200 Trillion, I know a real retired "Rocket Scientist" from NASA, who can start work on it.
