The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

Greetings,

My name is Scott and I live in the New Orleans Metroplex. I am putting together a Colonial Marines Unit for two events held annually:

Krewe of Chewbaccus- A Science Fiction themed Mardi Gras parade. It is a complete blast, and the costumes are amazing.

New Orleans Comicon- We will have a table set up for recruiting.

We may attend other events if appropriate. I already have 6 Grunts and a Drop Ship Pilot.

If you are near the New Orleans area and want to participate, please respond to this post.

Thanks

Hello,

My name is Ben, I'm from Montreal, Quebec, Canada, I've been an Alien's fan from the first time I saw the movie in the early eighties.

In 2009 I started to worke on a Spartan markVI from the Halo games, finished it for Halloween 2011 and have been cosplaying the Master Chief since then :)

But my new project is a Giger inspired Alien made by Halo_1 on this forum, baught it from a friend of Bazookajoe.

nice to meet you on the AL forum :D

Good evening everyone,

I am Rob, 28, from CT USA, I have been a member of this forum since late 2008, under a few user names in the past. my passwords kept getting lost and my email was hacked back then and i lost my login info for the account i was using. sad to say those usernames are no longer active. But i have changed (hopefully for the last time) my email and login info to something ive been using for a long time.

I will be moving to Virginia in a few months (depends when my fiancee gets the call from a job, shes waiting on a background check, and they said anytime from 3-6 months to a year but hopefully by december at the latest we will be down there), and i hope to get involved with anyone down there.

but it feels good to be back here with everyone, and i hope to once again be a great member of this community. you guys helped me out back when i was just starting out and i hope to repay that with bringing my own knowledge to the game.

thanks again and hope to hear from you all soon!

Well, welcome back to the board and welcome to VA (eventually, eh?). As far as I know #s are a bit thin down here, but good to know they will be getting a boost!

Hi! Big Aliens fan since I was a kid. I recognize some guys here from Whiskey Outpost (Starship Troopers Forum). Just recently picked up a Pulse Rifle and some boots to start my build. Looking for help to get the rest of my kit together.

Hi guys. This is Corporal Hicks/Aaron Percival from AvPGalaxy. I've met a few of you before in person and just registered to ask some questions about airsoft Pulse Rifling as I could think of no-one better to ask! :)

Hey there!

I'm Jon from Wolverhampton....I've been airsofting 10 years- now 100% Namsoft, and a Vietnam War Historian/re-enactor for a little longer.
I've got a room full of manky old M56 canvas to prove it- If you want to chat about the differences between the various patterns of Tigerstripe camo or some other such baroque piece of 'Nam info then I am your man :)

I've joined up here having acquired some Spatcave armour, MAA fatigues and a G&P Pulse Rifle because I've been dying to dress up in USCM gear since I saw Aliens at the tender age of 9 :delta: (Quality parenting eh! )

Now, can you stop twisting my arm behind my back, Scapey....Ow. Thanks.

Whats up Marines! I'm a noob to the UKCM and just though I best present myself front and center on the deck. My name is A.J Martin call sign Gunner (due to me being a RAF Regiment Gunner) and I've been a massive fan of the Aliens ever since I was taken to a event by my Uncle in Glasgow called "Alien war", a walk through ride/ haunted house where you played the part of a stranded colonist on a alien infested planet. Your only hope of making it out alive is the marines (Staff dressed in full M3 battle armor holding blank firing M41 pulse rifles) that have been sent in to EVAC you in their dropship. Safe to say that all does not go to plan and your escape got turned up side down by thoses damn bugs. From that moment on I've never been able to get enough be it books, Graphic novels, Models or bits of equipment I could get my hands on.
Im looking forward to dropping with you guys in sum up coming events.
See you in the re-group troops

Me and a mate are keen airsofters and both doing a Alien Marine unfit for it, got our pulse rifles, now putting rest of uniform together. Big fan of the 1st 2 films saw when I was 12 and been hooked since, played most the computer games, even bit of R.P.G years ago, even had the kenner toys, still got one or 2.

Cheers

Hey everybody, I'm LeMay. I first saw Aliens when i was a few years old; and although scared ****less the Colonial Marines made an everlasting impression (Maybe not the biggest reason, but a minor contributor to me becoming a U.S. Marine lol)
I'm 18 and well on my way to becoming a Marine aircrewman, and finally completing my Colonial Marine loadout. I'm not new to conventions, but this will definitely be an awesome experience to meet up with experienced enthusists of my favorite movies of all time.
Semper Fi ladies and gents. looking forward to drop in with you!

Greetings!

Sgt. Sandman reporting in and on deck! Not a member of our honorable armed forces but did have 4 years of Army JROTC in High School if that counts  I chose Sgt. Sandman because the sgt. rank was what I held during the majority of my JROTC days up until my senior year getting promoted up to SFC. Sandman because it's a nickname I've had since I was little. Ive been a fan of the first two films since I first laid eyes on the first film on VHS when my parents watched it with me. What truly cemented my love for both of these films was being taken by my uncle to see Aliens when it was in theaters. The USCM have always been an inspiration to me and to be quite honest Vasquez, Hicks, Apone, and Hudson have been my favorite marines since then. I do plan over time to make a USCM uniform and currently own a pulse rifle (can't get enough of this awesome weapon though I do also have a soft spot for the smartgun)
