The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

Got the 3-pack ordered just there. The usual UK sites didn't do pre-order but found a site anyway!

Disappointed I can't get just a Vasquez on her own. Would like one to stay in the box and another on display :D

But these Marines are solid gold. I'm so excited for both of them!

I love them doing these concept figures and hope to see them continue but I would have loved the albino drone far more if it had been smaller and not had that tongue and been more like the description in the script and treatment.

Frost and Vasquez look amazing though! Best likeness NECA has done so far IMHO!

I went to the local TrU yesterday and found the Cinemachines. They had all of them except the Nostromo (or is that a wave 2 offering?). Hard to decide which one to get even though I wouldn't mind having all of them, so I picked up the derelict ship. Judging by the reviews on Youtube, the stand looks to be the weak point of this vehicle, but it's probably nothing I can't fix.

I ended up buying Newt off ebay. But Randy from NECA says he is still working on a plan to sell to those not going to SDCC.

Yeah - this is exclusive stuff is kind of annoying... Maybe they'll offer a version w/out Hicks' helmet or Ripley 2-pack or something?

They are early! Cool.

For what it is worth, I have a little theory that those are oversized and I hope to be able to use them as 1/6th cryo tubes. There will be many pictures to follow as soon as I have them...

(EDIT: Well, not "early" just on time. Which itself is rare! So good)

Man that is beautiful. Really puts in perspective how much we already have gotten. A dream lineup really.

Now just give us a couple more marines!

I enjoyed seeing their more realistic takes on the Kenner Preds, but never felt the need to own them. I am afraid these are the same. I really enjoy seeing the updated more menacing designs and can't wait to see more, but see is all I will do. I'm out! Taking a much needed break from buying.

Seems the plan is to attack Resurrection at some point to break up the "kenner" waves. I'm out on that too. There is supposedly a 'mixed wave' coming at some point hopefully next year where they release the space suit Lambert they teased. Depending what else is in that wave, I will probably be back in at that point.

Anyone have the creature pack with stasis tubes? Any insight as to how far off the scale is?

Pretty far! I plan to use them for 1/6th scale. They are kind of in between; Too big to be NECA scale but too small to truly be 1/6th scale. I think they work "OK" for both though. Not too many people will freak out about it, but as far as the 1/10th NECA scale goes, they are pretty oversized.

I haven't had a chance to truly dive in yet with my own setups of 'in hand' pics, but below is some reference.

-Here is a screen shot compared to NECA's item w/emphasis on Face hugger.
The NECA facehugger have PLENTY of room inside the tube. In the film they were a bit cramped in the tube. Knowing the huggers are the right size (they are NOT small by any means) shows how oversized the toy tubes are.

The old McFarlane Facehuggers seem to fit much better as a match, but the Mcfarlane huggers are a tad undersized.
They arent perfect.

Compared to other NECA figures, they tubes would be nearly 5ft tall, and we all know that is not the case.

Dam it. And stasis tubes with facehuggers were one of the things I dreamed of when McFarlane had the license.

So close, yet so far away.
