The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

Finally got a response!

Helllo and a happy new year.
Sorry for the late update on the colony station project. I prapare on our club website a special section we can publish open projects like the Colony Station. You can click on the marked area (https://schwabenstein.org) and get more information and the files. There are not all modules at the moment - i will add them step by step.
All the best,
Alexander

You will need this free software to view the .io files which can create the instructions and parts lists.

Instructions to follow.

You can also export as a parts list, open the file in excel and go to lego's pick a brick
https://www.lego.com/en-us/pick-and-build/pick-a-brick

The unobtainable parts you will have to get from brickowl and/or bricklink.

getting most parts from lego can be cheaper....

I have ordered some pieces to start the slow process of assembling things. I may try to go live on youtube building things as at that point I should hopefully have 1gig fiber internet...

I have replicated the elevator module, the light module as close as I can. I just have to try and replicate the garage and wall modules from reference pictures.

Still having issues running out of parts so it is build, build, build, order, wait, wait, build, order, wait, build order.

Very frustratingly slow.

I am hoping to get things semi done by the time Frakencon hits in mid May.

And in all honesty this is the biggest build I have ever done. This is approaching the tedium of the programming and code hacking I have done on the Pred, motion tracker, and access tuner as far as time involved.

Garage module is partly replicated from photos. I have parts on the way to try and finish it out. The rolling door assembly is going to be all kinds of fun to put together...

I finished all the wall segments. I am now working on building out the interior elements more fully. I am also getting other elements to add more details so there is activity everywhere. I have a crane on the way that will be motorized. Packing things out will be interesting once I get all the extras added.

At least a 1000 hours of building and rebuilding and fixing and tweaking. On top of the 100s of hours of researching parts to get the right parts on the way.

I got the initial parts of the interriors built out on the empty shells. I just have to order some more pieces and things can get wrapped up. Once I get everything done I will get the table put back together and do a series of videos showing off the setup to build interest.

And really this effort is to get the kiddos interested in the franchise and get some new blood into the groups so to speak.

I will also have to be supergluing a few pieces to just make things a little more durable and more problem free.

I am working on the heavy drop ship now. I am going to take it as far as I can but the thing is going to be freaking huge based on the reference photo I have to work with.

It will be to scale, and the thing is freaking huge. I will probably have to place another 300 dollar order with lego as I have to get the super structures built out as much as I can to figure out what I need.

I have placed another 500 dollar order with lego. and probably another one just as big after that after a while.

I have managed to lay hands on the heavy drop ship model Alexander Ehle has build in stud.io. Along with the landing pad.

He is also working on a spiro tower replica from aliens dark descent.

The way this build is going we may have a massive set to show off at brick world or brick universe one year. No one to my knowledge has done ANY massive aliens/predator lego sets on display. The aliens space colony has seen more views than other videos on my youtube.

I am trying to stick with mostly lego pieces at this point, but some parts I can only get on secondary markets, and some the price point forces me to look at stuff out of China.
