Presented on 27th April 2014 in Calgary, Canada to Melissa 'Moosh' Klassen by Aliens Legacy member Terran Roberts (Bigbisont), Moosh's many outstanding achievements include her successful campaign petitioning for playable female characters in 'Aliens: Colonial Marines', which garnered substantial fan participation and media awareness as well as recruiting Cynthia Scott, Jenette Goldstein, Colette Hiller, Ricco Ross, Daniel Kash and Trevor Steedman to rally support for her cause.

The award also acknowledges Melissa's selfless charity work - such as shaving her head 'Ripley style' and her keen and ongoing contribution to the Aliens Legacy where she continues to impress with her costume making and artistic endeavours such as her Aliens inspired jewellery.

I honestly keep forgetting about it because it hasn't sunk in yet! Every time I see the certificate in our living room it's kind of like a little shot in the chest that winds me for a few seconds!

My Dad who teases me non stop about my fandom must have been proud cause I didn't even get a chance to ask him to hang it in my bedroom when he started moving ornaments off the one shelf in the living room hahaha! I guess he wants it out there!!

It truly is an honour I'm not sure I'm worthy of! Thanks everyone!
