The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

Anybody have a clear picture of the mags, either from the hive scene or when Hicks shows the PR to Ripley etc.?

Thank you!

Thanks to Moosh's screencaps I've begun making my own mag base. I used the magazine from my Evike PR (with all the airsoft stuff pulled out), a spare mag base cover off evike.com, some Matsuo replica ammo and a conveniently sized plastic box lid I found in my junk drawer.

I removed the tabs from the mag base cover, trimmed off the plastic lip and sanded it smooth.

With some two part epoxy to firmly attach the parts and a some putty to smooth the gaps etc., I'm pretty happy with how it is turning out.

I've painted it and will get a photo of the nearly finished prop ASAP.

Here it is painted up and with the Matsuo rounds added. If you look at the screencaps Moosh provided you can see bullets in the magazine Ripley inserts in the Pulse Rifle, so even though there is no way there could be 95 of these things in here it still matches up better with what we see on screen than some of the theoretical tiny bullets I've seen around.

Thanks Moosh! I need to even out the paint job, but I will be going BB with this anyhow once my paint arrives.
