The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

Terry might have made it as a replica for Trevor or someone who wanted a copy of Trevor's armour?

Always possible I suppose shame they don't give a little more detail about it's origins when they're charging the price they are.

If it was screen used I'd expect a much higher price.

Terry, as far as I know, signs the interiors of his armor. The shield with the "TE" in it is also marked into all his replicas.

Thats actually a pretty good question.

Other than Harry owning the Hudson armor, and Dietrich's chest plate, and the Hicks armor in the
Sci-Fi museum in Seattle I don't know the wear abouts of any other Screen Used USCM marine armor.
I'd kind of like to know too.

Edit: I swear I recently saw a piece of Apone's armor for sale. His helmet maybe???

The Hicks armour in this Sci-fi museum in Seattle. Hardly looks screen used. I think it was the replica set that Propstore sold.

Maybe it'd worth asking Harry?

IIRC, that's a replica set of Hicks armour made by Terry.

Hang on, I'll check my pics.....

Edit: There's a mini Hudson set and a full size Hicks body armour:

I thought that hicks armour above was a protytype set made by terry. Its certainly not the set I saw at the movieum in 2009. Hmmmm.

The Moviem's identification of the screen-used nature or origin of their items is ... occasionally unreliable.

They had a solid Alien statue (with some crazy-weird proportions) that was at one point meant to be "screen-used in ALIEN".

The location of all 3 sets of Hudsons armour is known. Harry has one. Terry English has one and the other is also with a private collector in the UK.
I believe the propstore owner has a set of the original Apone armour.
The movieum was displaying Terrys stuff. Although not sure if that was as far back as 2009. the Hicks chest armour that was on display from Terry was a prototype that he still owns. If there was other Hicks armour there before then I don't know who's that was.

My repro armour from Terry was NOT signed inside but does carry the TE logo stamped in several places.

I know a story of one set of Crowes armour going into a bin when the buyer from the original auction moved home and didn't have space for it :(

Cheers

Darren

The day we went there (and I took the pic shown above) was 12 March 2009. :)

Blimey, I didn't realise it was that long ago. In that case then, the Hicks armour that nick mentioned must have been the Prototype set of Terry's.

Here is the best picture I have of Hick's armor from the museum in Seattle. Draw your own conclusions as if
its screen used, but the museum says it is......

The webbing looks a little "new" to be 25 years old.

Trevor's armor was actually offered to me a number of years ago....so its been sold in the last 5 years.
Don't ask me how much for though....it's been too long.
But this was the photo I was sent with the offer
