The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

Which console/PC version do you have?

Just tried the Xbox 360 version and it was fine.

Guessing that you might have a corrupted save file, as it checks what upgrades/unlocks you have after the checking PR bit, then loads in your upgraded PR of choice.

Maybe go back to main menu and go into Arsenal, change a few options on your PR loadout (e.g. change grenade launcher to firebombs), to see if that fixes it?

Does anyone have problems with the Play station 3 Network cutting you out of the game in mid play? My cellphone wi-fi hot spot shows its at 100% , but I always end up losing PSN in the middle of a good colonial marines game..

I was able to fix the DNS errors. I had to enter DNS #'s 8 8 8 8 and 8 8 4 4and so far so good.. I still lose the game host, but I think everyone has that problem-no? I seem to notice it happens more in the evenings, as if the servers can't handle so many people playing.

Shouldn't all those who feel mis-sold get a portion of the guys payout?

In the article:
Quote:
while approved consumers who purchased the game before Feb. 13, 2013 and filed a claim form will receive the remaining funds.

So, they'll get a share of around $500,000 between them, however many filed a claim.

Even though this game did not live up to the hype or what advertisements/demos displayed...I still find myself playing it due to community generated mods, which have rekindled my interest in this game, based on the bughunt game mode alone. For anyone playing on PC who has taken advantage of steam sales to get the game for what it's actually worth price wise, check out these community made mods for bughunt mode:

WY Mercs replaced with Boilers, Welding Doors enabled (Just on Tribute Map)
http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=269584251

WY Mercs replaced with Xenos, Welding Doors enabled (All Maps)
http://www.moddb.com/mods/aliens-survival-experience/downloads/no-more-mercs-no-dino-heads-welding-enabled

Survival Mod v2-Movie accurate PR, Smartgun with correct fire rate, ammo, changed health values so no more fist fighting with the xenos
http://www.moddb.com/mods/aliens-survival-experience/downloads/survival-experience-v2

Definitely worth checking out/playing if you've already got it and the Bughunt DLC on PC.
