Apparently the artist had some sort of harassment allegations and they now, just now, decide to cancel the whole thing to avoid any controversy. Why it was not an issue was before but but is now, speculation could be anything from avoiding alienation and a bad social media spotlight to any other things you could think of.

If by "now, just now" you mean two years ago, then yes. This is 2019 news, when Aliens was still a Dark Horse property. Also it was the writer not the artist who was the problem. He is an absolute piece of shit.
