Good Old Games are offering a FREE copy of AvP for those signing up to Beta-test their new online gaming platform - GoG galaxy. Galaxy works similarly to things like Steam, but with all the requirement of being online as completely optional! Obviously online play of any kind requires you to actually be online, as does downloading any games... but you're not forced to be online to validate your games every time you start them up, not forced into social interactions, not forced to update your account profile with all your achievements, or anything like that.
