The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

I personally am not going to worry over tiny details like that, all icare about is the game is good

Ash and Dallas look a little wonky, but Ripley is dead on!

Official - play scenes from the original Alien in 2 bonus missions!

Sigourney Weaver has even done the voice acting. Ace

I watched the trailer for this on youtube, thought it looked good. :)

In the comments people were flipping tables & flinging poo because "OMG the game's not even out yet and they're offering DLC? HOW DARE THEY? ENTIRE GAME IS TEH RUINED 5EVAH!!!!!" I promptly facepalmed.

Plus the actors may not have given permission for thier likeness to be used John Hurt is very much known for that, so the game got them as close as they were allowed

I can at least explain the change in the feathers on the dunking birds. Soft transparent items like that can be very expensive to do in terms of processing in real-time. So it would have been changed to solid so that such a small asset wasn't sucking up a disproportionate amount of GPU time.

The faces actually look pretty good for a video game. Parker and Dallas aren't perfect, but Ripley and Lambert certainly look like the actors. It's the bodies that I'm questioning.

A:CM was plagued with similar lazy inaccuracies, and I agree that fixing all of them still wouldn't have saved that game.

The feathers I can totally understand. The details on the crew are way off.

HOWEVER: I bet I know why. Look closely at the assets used to render the Nostromo crew. They are almost certainly 100% recycled from the game. They used the existing asset to take on heads that closely resemble the crew. Ash looks way off as far as that goes; the hair looks totally wrong.

The whole thing just throws up more red flags to me. I hate to say it, because I really want it to be good. But this is SEGA and they had their hands in A:CM. (I don't care that Gearbox was responsible, or blah blah blah. SEGA put their name on it, they get part of the blame). The "DLC" reeks of quick add content. It may not be, but it seems that way. Storywise I wish they had used SOMEONE besides Ripley's daughter. (I never cared for that add on part to Aliens to begin with. Frankly, I think it wouldn't have mattered in the least as long as it was SOMEONE finding the black box for the Nostromo.)

After the last preorder mess....I may just opt out.

Charlie

Still, the chance to hear these actors reprise these roles is pure gold.

I think my favorite shot is Ash standing alone in the Infirmary. I'm just wondering what he is plotting at that point. And the room looks really accurate; even has the dish on the floor covering the acid burn from when he tried to cut the facehugger off Kane.
The Nostromo crew in the Galley shot; I'm thinking this might be an early image they did. To me the background used looks like the same used on the stills of Amanda Ripley and the other Alien Isolation characters, in other words a placeholder, not the Nostromo galley we will hopefully and accurately see.
Also in this shot, Lambert has the Weyland-Yutani patch missing on the front of her shirt; in the other game photo of her, it is there.
Nice to see they are going the extra mile on this kind of stuff. Another reason why I think the crew shot may be an early image. Parker could use some stubble though, he's looking a little baby-faced compared to how he is in the movie!

Yep, it seems to be the same, just with some things on the table changed:
