http://www.pcgamer.com/2013/02/15/alien ... g-effects/ The DirectX 10 mod does seem to make a load of things look a touch nicer but some parts look very odd and it causes some crazy glitches... worth a fiddle and might improve as new versions are released. SweetFX is an odd one - if you have a specific look that you want the game to have then it might be worth a shot. I have a feeling an "Aliens-like" filmgrain might be possible using it. If anyone has a go then post up your settings here. Anyone found any other options for changing/improving/ruining the graphics on the PC? (DISCLAIMER: I'm not knowledgeable on these things but I dunno if I'd play multiplayer on Steam with these enabled - I'm guessing they might be picked up by the anti-cheat stuff?) |
