The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

Randy Pitchford (@DuvalMagic on Twitter) is giving out some codes this weekend, so I thought it'd be best for them and future codes to have a separate thread. :)

To redeem these codes, select Extras then SHiFT Code at the Main Menu.
Unlike console redeem codes, you have to enter Shift codes each short section at a time, rather than typing out the whole thing in one long line.

For help and assistance with SHiFT, visit support.gearboxsoftware.com:

http://support.gearboxsoftware.com/foru ... 6242-shift

If you've not already done it, register now for Shift and link it to your console/Gamertag.

Looks like a software product key - You enter it into the game itself, and you get stuff.
In Borderlands, it gives you character skins, or Golden Keys to open a special crate in the game hub area that always contains rare loot.

Nope, he's not even Tweeted today yet.

I'll be keeping an eye on it, but overnight anyone in the US might like to post any I miss due to being asleep.

No A:CM codes yet, but Randy has just Tweeted some Borderlands 2 codes, so he's online at least. :)

Edit: Shift system still worked though. :)

It'd be damn funny if you put a Borderlands shift code into Colonial Marines and got one of these:

Same idea, man - they give you random extra stuffs.
So far, we know you can get extra player emblems.
There will be more.

They can also give you extra points to upgrade your weapons and xenos. I got a couple right off the bat for already being registered with Shift.

Dunno about what's on your receipt, but the one in this thread unlocks an armour artwork called Friends of Gearbox, which you can see/select when going into the various Marine appearance options.

This one can be used on the M1 helmet, each shoulder and the chest armour.
