The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

Was rewatching the IGN special and found some info on some of the new toys the Marines will have access to...

WY - NSG23 rifle

M41A MK2

Hmmm... that the shot counter must be psychic... because it still reads 40 when the magazine is removed!

S.H.A.R.P. (Sonic-Harpoon Artillery Remote Projectile)

M3A SMG...

I'd say the M4RA looks more moritesque!

Perhaps it is designed to "latch" to the last reading if the mag is removed until it "reads" the mag when it is inserted again correcting itself if a full mag is used to replace a part empty one? Just a thought.

They're both pretty "Moritesque"

Sorry to be a grumpy old man...

But this is easily the most cringe worthy retcon of a single line in a film I've witnessed. They took Hudson's great sarcastic joke, and turned it into an actual weapon. Really?

What's next?

Hicks: "Now all we need is a deck of C.A.R.D.s- Chance Associated Recreational Device(s).

Bishop: 'In nineteen minutes this area's going to be a cloud of vapour the size of N.E.B.R.A.S.K.A- New Earth BRAnch Sharecropper Kinnikinnick Alliance

Maybe I've finally lost the last ounce of my sense of humour.

I think we mentioned that in another thread, Kev - And I'm with you. It totally ruined the entire point of Hudson's speech.

I DO get what they were trying to do, but to me it's just a crap attempt an injoke when there's really no need...

I can't be arsed with the PR MKII

Hopefully you can play with the normal M41a to start.

There are so many things that are bugging me so much already. But i just want to play and make up my decision.......

You do get access to the original M41A, but it's an item you
have to find from what I understand.

Kevin, those acronyms are a riot!

Think of it this way: Captain America can refer to his shield while working for S.H.I.E.L.D. and no one would be confused. The USCM may have a stake firing anti-vampire weapon called a S.H.A.R.P., but Hudson was most certainly making a joke about bits of pointy wood.

I was a S.H.A.R.P. back in the day. Oi oi!

So the M41-A MK2 has a counter on BOTH sides of the mag well!!! Does anyone really want that? Can't you just stick rail add ons to the sides of your regular Pulse Rifle and call it a MK2? I am thinking of doing the shotgun under part (which makes little sense since you can just load the grenade launcher with shotgun shells....), or the flamer one. Those something people are actually interested in?

That's great! Funny story though: I wanted to shave my head after I saw Alien3 but I was worried folks would mistake me for a Neo. When I got out of High School and met some real skinheads it was a real eye openner. Now I've looked like a Double Y Chromo inmate for 20+ years!

Spat: I wonder if some of the Lefties out there might dig the "double counter" design on the MK2. Does the MK2's handle look more like James Cameron's original PR sketch?

Charging handle reminds me of the one on the Magpul/Remington ACR.

Also, the large capacity magazine is now canon! Didn't Matsuo
make those for the 30 round Thompson mags in the past?

A simple freaking thank-you on their game would've been nice. Evidently, my work and innovation goes unmentioned. At least my peers have given me the Most Valuable Marine decoration and the Aliens Legacy Gold award... That's something no one can take away from me. :delta:

I think the flamethrower attachment on the pulse rifle is cool and I love the look of the NeuSturmgewehr 23.
