The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

Also, where was that S.H.A.R.P thing in the game?

'twas a bonus for... something or another, can't remember if it was collector's edition or pre-ordering from such and such establishment.

And yes, it shouldn't exist ;) Yeah, i get the in-joke, but perhaps a tad heavy-handed :P

One thing i don't really get about the new weapons, given how much they looked into the backstory and nailed so many things, it's odd for them to magically invent new things rather than even nod at what was in the technical manual, or AVP1/2/3, et cetera. I mean, it's not a big deal to me, i'm never going to use anything besides a pulsie and hicks' shotgun, but still, it's the principle that counts :D

Oh, and i miss not being able to hit anything with my nonexistent iron sights.

Because they're under different licenses/copyright, usually with book publishers, film directors and the script writer. :)

Am I the only one that thinks none of the new weapons they designed and put in the game are very "Aliens-ish?" The SMG is passable, but the assault rifle, battle rifle, and shotgun with a shotgun on it (laugh out loud WTF?!) don't fit in with the aesthetics of Aliens to me.

Looking at the battle rifle, it looks like it was modeled on the M42 scope rifle. In fact, the concept art for it is labeled "ARMAT M42A Rifle". I think the assault rifle looks fine and fits the aesthetic of the WY mercenaries, and the tactical shotgun's alt-weapon tazer rounds are damned useful.

One of the Tactical shotgun's unlockable alt-weapons is the same shotgun that goes on the pulse rifle. Redundant, maybe, but if you're like Sarge from Red vs Blue, it's a work of art. :)

Or possibly Xzibit on Pimp My Ride:
"Yo yo yo- I hear you like shotguns, so we put a shotgun on your shotgun, dawg.....Yeah" :D

Wait till they release the longer version, the one that is out right now is way too short and would need a lot of work

Funnily enough, with the grenade launcher on the NSG 23, I thought it looked like a cross between the Longshot and a M41A.
