The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

Since locally they're not doing a midnight launch, I'm considering gearing up on
Tuesday for a couple hours at Gamestop.

I'm in Northern (wasteland) Minnesota. Who else is going to get their game geared up?

At minimum I will be wearing my "peace through superior firepower" shirt when I pick up my game Tuesday. The rest will be a game time call.

Still no word on a midnight event in these parts. If it happens I'm sure Sean, Ang and I will be there sharp sticks and all.

Working on getting my armor reassembled. It hasn't been actually wearable for a couple years now. Ground off
the leg armor inner joint rivets last night and cut some new leather straps. Don't know if I'll have 'er repainted
by Tuesday. We'll see how the weekend goes. Need to do some more grinding on the internal space of my
pulse rifle shroud too, to drop the 1/8" gap I have in front of the mag well.

Nothing like waiting until the last minute. :)

I've talked to two different GAMESTOP stores, and dropped off photos and my card. I haven't heard back yet. I may just have to pack my gear anyhow, take a few hours off from work, and go play Marine... Even without a callback. Heck, it worked out great last Saturday!

I actually got a semi-receptive invite to one of the gamestops for their midnight release. Unfortunately, not the one I have me collector's edition pre-order with, as they are not doing one. I asked this other location if they had any interest in having a geared up marine on hand and they said "sure...I can probably get you a $10 gift card".

Hardly rolling out the red carpet, but could be fun. Downside is I still can't have MY game (non-transferable) as it's not my location. Also would be flying solo with no crew or fam (since everyone else works the next day). But its another option and I may take it.

We'll be hitting several of the local Gamestops here in Hawaii. The group will consist of two Marines and one xenomorph in capture gear being escorted by a Weyland Yutani scientist.

Thats awesome!

I actually geared up for the midnight release and my wife wore the Alien costume I made for her from Holloween. I got a free game guide out of it (better than nothing eh?). But they told me "no guns" in advance, so I went empty handed :( .

My wife and I were the only ones dressed up so we posed for pics, but didnt take any of our own. This town is too sleepy sometimes.

Yeah we only had like 8-10 people hter so we all just talked and had fun. it didnt help that the 4.5 review came out that morning. and also the store never put up anything like they should have saying midnight launch.
