The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

The only thing I'm not sold on in the video is the talking. I haven't minded it in other ones (it's in keeping with the film after all), but this time it seemed really hammy. Maybe it was recorded just for this spot and isn't really in-game dialogue? That seems likely to me as I can't imagine a Marine is going to coach us every step of the way through Survivor mode...

In anticipation for the release and knowing it's still a while away with many months of possible promotion time to boot I've taken to wearing my cod piece on top of my everyday clothes. You know, for Sulaco solidarity plus it's a great conversation starter. Random passerby by "uh, what's that?" Then me "Are you staring at my crotch? Great let me tell you all about this fantastic new game!"

is it bred that way or do you think once a Xeno gets to old it mutates into this so it can still be a weapon.

You need to have different enemies in games to keep it fresh . Or the game becomes to plain and repettive

They've said explicitly that they are quite specifically avoiding the Kenner "animal alien" convention, lol. The art for the Boiler has changed since I last saw it, so I dunno if its "story"/explanation is still the same... But assuming it hasn't changed, its my favorite of the new ones in the game, I'll say that much :)

I cant say that I "like" all the new and varied aliens, but yeah, the game will need variety. I can't fault them for that (and what else can you expect from the guys that brought us the 'lambent' [not my fav video game bad guy varient, but def variety that served a purpose])

But as far as things like that go, I do like the theory of "the old" aliens. We know from ...ugh...Alien Resurrection that an alien isnt afraid to reduce itself to an acid donor. It kind of makes sense that the warriors that become too old to serve the hive would resort to this kind of thing. No?

I always got the vibe that the 'donor' in AR wasn't very willing, the other two ganged up on him.

Anywayz..

They've done the blow-up warrior figure and kinda the bull alien figure. Is a big snake-like xeno in the game by any chance? ;)
*Note sarcasm indicating smilie
