The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

Well, I'm glad they put a female character in the game. Was starting to wonder if it was going to be a boys only club. :)

Dude on the right has the smart gun (although the gun looks a lot smaller/slimmer than normal), so wouldn't have it.

Guessing the other two are some sort of Support or Special Ops, hence the different armour?

She's obviously been crying about it, as her mascara's run.

Nah, she's crying because she shrunk her t-shirt in the wash and now it's too short to tuck it into her trousers.

I can understand the guy on the left not having a full set of armor, what with his leg & all. My fiancee has to watch how much she carries or she'll hurt her legs where they were taken off at.
Guy in the middle's got the over the shoulder parts, but with all the flare I can't tell if he's got the "shoulder bells" or not.
The girl looks like a "young toughie" that scavenged a fallen Marine's gear before they actually rescued her.
Speaking of the Smartgunner, he's got his eyepiece "on" but points his weapon at the wall.. XD

(there I go, overanalyzing again.. XD)

I'm suprised no ones mentioned the sawtooth type boots the lady woman and the smart gunner are wearing. And she has her kecks hanging out the bottom of the greaves. :)

Since we're nitpicking the art...

One thing that annoys me is the "splayed fingers" gripping an item,
like the Marine holding the Pulse Rifle is doing. Now go grab your pulse
rifle/pool cue/baseball bat/etc.

Do you spread your fingers as far apart as you can get them?

I didn't think so.

If I was mountain climbing, sure, but not when gripping a weapon.

Also, is there a steadicam rig on the smartgunner?

That girly armour does look kinda familiar...
I wonder if Terry had a hand in the design, or if it's just coincidence?

Original cast used in the game, but not Trevor. :?

http://www.officialplaystationmagazine. ... explained/

Quote:
Randy isn’t naming names, but IMDB’s cast listing for Aliens: Colonial Marines  is. Original cast members Lance “Bishop” Hendricksen and William “Gorman” Hope are confirmed on the site as voicing “Rook” (geddit?) and “Cmdr. T. Shannon” respectively, while original character Wierzbowski returns voiced by Josh Ridgway rather than original actor Trevor Steedman.

Might be a good idea never to check any new posts in here (or new threads about A: CM) until you're playing the game then.
