The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

I'm still enjoying the game, over half-way through the first two challenge blocks, but still stuck on that stupid freaking "leap on 3 targets in less than 10 seconds" one in the third! Strange but some of the easier ones feem to be further down the list.

I will definately be investing in the DLC, wish they announcd more of the stuff coming out later though, after the critical mauling they took, they need to try to woo people back. Good DLC could do this, if it gets positive press.

Mrs Demoncase bought this to cheer me up and stated "I want you to play this all Saturday dressed in your armour- because it'll make you smile"

:D

And that pulse rifle sound....Oh lordy. It's so good- the neighbours aren't going to be happy when I turn the TV up to 30 and start playing :D

Yup; Lurker, secondary attack is Speed Pounce, just do that three times in a row to the same Marine. :)

Just remember speed pounce doesn't do any damage, it just knocks then down. Find a lone
marine and pounce him silly. :)

Funny story, 3 speed pounces in a row killed my buddy in a private match. Got the challenge done, but we both had a good laugh at him basically being humped to death.

Spent some time today clearing MP challenges. Had a lot of great matches with some really good teams. I even made it to the top of the leader board once. :D Now I'm stuck on the 10 kills with acid spit challenge. I'm having a really hard time with the aiming controls, getting my shot lined up and letting loose before I get mowed down by the marines.

I can do not bad with the Spitter, but then again I may have the advantage of extremely fine motor skills, especially with analogue sticks (due to being in a power chair for nearly 20 years) so my aim is pretty good. I ain't saying I rule or anything haha, I am lucky if I break even in the kill/death ratio.

It helps if you land a charged spit, then several little spits. Once I got to the 10 Acid Trap kills I was worried because my one friend I always played with told me that it was terribly weak. Once I got it unlocked, I had a riot with the Spitter! haha, Sure it is weak, and small as hell but if you fire 4 or 5 down in high traffic areas, the kill counter lights up like a Christmas tree haha, Marines have a hell of a time seeing them, and when you're a Marine, you ain't lookin' at the ground! I would lay some down in a doorway, then hang out and dance around in front of the door, and get a Marines attention, then run away so they'd chase me, running straight into my traps to their death haha.

And DAAAAYUM!!, Dat range!, those traps fly!, and if you miss your direct hits, theres a good chance the Marine will sidestep into them anyway haha

I gotta put together my little montage of kills once I sift through all the hours of footage I have and find it again haha

Fully charge first, aim in the general direction, then do a "pop-up" ("pop-sideways"??) attack. Try to pick on weakened marines. If you knock a marine down and he hasn't got any buddies around, rush up and keep spitting acid into him from point-blank range - but this can be risky if he's got a good pistol. If you have rupture, you may fail to kill him with the spit, but you will at least take him with you!

Of course, the reason this works well for me is I haven't reached that challenge yet! Once I do, I'll find I'll be missing them, being sniped in the face the moment I step out, having a fellow xeno rip his head off before I can kill him, etc!

I accomplished that spitter challenge using Acid Spray, I wasn't pretty good at aiming with the regular spit attack, so I looked at the other attcks, and I saw that the acid spray does the most damage, distance isn't that good, but get close enough to an unaware marine and your good. :)

No spoilers, but the last bit could have done with the chase music from Benny Hill.

Its only a couple of quid more than the limited edition.

Finally pulled the trigger. Went with 360 mainly as it in the 'museum' as Kim calls it, so i can play in full on geek mode.

Note: The UK Xbox 360 game is region free, so anyone in the US wanting this edition will be able to play the game. :)

Same price for the PS3 version too.

Still listed on the US site at $69.99

What Jon said. :)

Not sure if there are any US 360 versions which connect to US TVs by non-HD means, but if it's component or HDMI you'll be fine. :)

This was first mission I tried on Ultimate Badass, I regret to say, not much of a challenge. I can't see you dying on that level unless you run up and try to melee the queen!

One of my few true disappointments with the game.

I love the last level! It's true moviestyle, genuine (like the whole game!) and oldschool-gaming!
To get some real thrill out of "Home": Take some close-ups of the queen (only ultimate badass counts)!

Don't stay in those containers ... but be cautious ... she is so damned fast ... Oorah!
There's one spot in the hangar where a blue light is flashing. I wonder if someone can take a (blue) shot of her there ... would be really nice.
I got her there, but missed her body ... just got her head and my smg was onscreen (watch my steam-gallery (http://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561197985983893/screenshots/) to have a look) ...

Now that is sweet!

Hmm - wonder if the last mission had been improved if the queen had been able to slowly rip-off the roofs of the containers, so if you hid too long you started to run out of hiding places?
