The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

Game.co.uk ran a competition on Twitter today to win A:CM goodies, including iPhone cases, T-shirts, dog tags, etc.

Unfortunately they ran it from 3:30pm to 4:30pm, so those of us who work for a living missed it.

I just sent a Tweet asking them to do next week's competition a bit later in the day, so not just kids take part.

So i was playing AvP last night and some1 had asked a great question about this and i hope they do have it would be some kind of replay footage to watch past matches. i think that would be epic.

This is my friend James. We worked for the same company and he'd often hear me gushing about all things Aliens related. One day I showed him the Big Damn Heroes from the game and he got really excited. I asked him if he'd like to pose for a photo with some of my gear and he agreed wholeheartedly. Having a "differently abled" Marine in the game wasn't something Gearbox had to do, but I'm so glad they did!

As a side note, who else has been inspired by the look of the Marines in the game? I've added grenades to my shoulder armour (see the photo below), Chris Kraemer added goggles to his helmet, Mole was looking to recreate the Dropship pilot's jacket, and of course Spat made the recon armour. Am I missing any?

Excellent trailer. Less than three weeks to go, can't wait for this.
Worst thing is it's going to arrive at work and I'm going to have to spend the day staring at the box waiting to close up :(.

Quote:
To make things easier and to prepare you for competitive multiplayer, Colonial Marines supports full campaign drop-in/drop-out co-op. Much like Gears of War, there are branching sections in particular levels where the four-person team has to split up, meaning there are certain parts of the campaign that are only accessible in co-op. What a cool incentive for replayability.

Couple this with the fact that universal experience earned across single-player, co-op and/or multiplayer can be spent in any of those modes, and there’s actual incentive to tackle each mode. Furthermore, so-called “Legendary weapons” from the Aliens film can be found throughout the campaign, which unlocks their use for multiplayer, too. Sam informed us that it would take 80-100 hours to unlock absolutely everything (albeit, that figure does include cosmetic unlocks). On paper, at least, that’s a hell of a lot of bang for buck.
