Hey there, anyone else here going to this? http://futurecon.wordpress.com/ Thursday, December 30th, 2010, to Saturday, January 1st, 2011 Thursday – 7PM to 3AM * Friday – Noon to 3AM * Saturday – 11AM to 6PM Where: Holiday Inn Markham 7095 Woodbine Ave at Steeles Ave. Markham, ON L3R 1A3 My ladyfriend is coming down for a few weeks after xmas and mentioned this event, the more I look into it the more I'm intrigued. It's run by a few folks I know and an interesting take on new year's festivities geared towards the tastes of confolk. They extended their pre-reg prices but I think the hotel rate is held until the 9th, details on their site. So yeah, anyone else going? |

First time hearing about this one. I know Saturday will be a holiday for everyone but Friday and especially Thursday won't for me at least. Don't think I'll make it out for this one. Kevin |

I figured it was worth a mention, I didn't really have much interest in it until my ladylove expressed a desire to go and the more I thought about it ... I was thinking why not?  It is short notice for sure and my plans might change, I'll just be happy to be reunited with my special someone during her break and anything beyond that is a bonus.  Time to dig out and tune-up the armour: may as well add to my service record
